Stupid Windshield!!

Ok, so we bought a new 2008 Toyota Corolla S in December. I love my car. But, within the last month, I've had horrible luck!!

First, when we were traveling back home from my parent's, a rock hit the windshield and left a huge chip. Then, last week, I got another chip from a dump truck. THEN, this morning, same spot as last week, a huge rock hit my windshield yet again and left a huge scuffed mark, on the driver's side. Thanfully I didn't get it replaced yet, but seriously, I'm soo pissed! And, I got the license plate and company name off the dump truck this morning. They just messed with the wrong girl....!!!!!!

That happened to us and we got a ticket for speeding around the dump truck...geez we were trying to save our car!(which got a dint in it and it was a GTO!)
It's good you didn't replace it to begin with. Sounds like SOMEONE needs to do something about these trucks...it shouldn't be your problem you know!!

OMG - I've never heard of anybody getting a ticket for going around! That really sucks!!

My advice, get those chips filled in fast!

I had a chip for a week and all of a sudden it turned into a big ol crack and my insurance would have waived the deductible and paid for fixing the chip, but they won't for a crack bigger than 6", so it just cost me $400 to get a new windshield.

And they let a big gap between the seal and the frame so it's also costing me a saturday morning for them to come fix that.

Uhhh that sucks! I got had two rocks hit my car in the same day and then with this crazy Texas weather the temp dropped that night. I have a huge crack across my windshield now that we just can't afford to get fixed right now. :bbmad:

ek! That sounds terrible. I never heard of trucks dropping rocks but that sucks.

I was behind a flat bed that was dropping rocks. I got the information off the truck and took the company to small claims court. The driver didn't have a tailgate but claimed to have swept out the back of his truck. Thank god I had a witness in the passenger seat! They settled and paid for a new windshield. Good luck!
