Need name ideas!!!!

I'm not a huge cat fan, but we want to have a pet together, and a cat is cheaper than a dog. So our friend found this little furball and looks like we might be picking her up tomorrow. We want name ideas!!!

So far, we're both pretty fond of Sugar and Stormy. We're going to narrow it down to 3 names (or 2) and have Sierra pick the final name.

edit: I was lookin at her pic and was thinking - she's got some unique markings. And it hit me, MITTENS!!! I love that name, and she looks like she's wearing mittens LOL.

I like Stormy. They say animals learn and respond better to two syllable names ending in the "y" sound (whether or not that's true, I have no idea... afterall our cats are named Tigger and Piglet).

I had a cat named Smokey once. I've also had: Muffy, Kelly, Critter, Tigger, Blacky, Boney (he was really thin when my parents found him), Fred (named after Freddy Krueger because he had really sharp claws), and Frank (who was female). My current cats are Oscar and Vera, which is what the rescue shelter named them. I'm too lazy to think of names, so I kept them. :)

I like Sugar. You could call her 'Sug' like Dale's wife on King of the Hill, lol. I also like Casper (cause she's white), or Winter or Snow or something winter-like.

We have a cat right now (named Demon). He's the coolest cat ever! He has so much attitude. He's part Siamese and part 'Bengal Snow Leopard Lynx' or something. He's huge and he's built like a Leopard. But he's all about revenge. If he gets pissed at us, he'll do something horrible to get back at us. And my Mom got him de-clawed when he was a kitten (I was so pissed), so now he donkey kicks everything with his back feet. But he's getting old (he's 13), so when he dies, we want to get 2 kittens and name them Jesse James and Robert Ford (I'm kind of obsessed with Jesse James, lol).

What a cute kitty!!!! We have a grey kitty.. We named her Angel Rain. Don't.. DON'T do that, though.. Shes such a little b*tch sometimes!! lol We don't want you to end up with a sass problem! XD
Our other kitties were/are named Jo jo (johosephat), Tiger, Angel Rain, ButterCup, Milo, Marshmallow, and Natsu!
I do think Mittens would be super cute..!

I think instead of naming her, you should just let me have her! Sooo cute!! In my family for some reason my brother always named our pets alphabetically, and I always picked names that started with "S" - so I like Stormy. :)

We have had: Airborne (haha don't ask!) and Abby, Bandit and Buddy, Cricket and Captain, Dona (spanish - pronounced Don-ya, mean "lady"), and Esme for the alphabetical ones, and my "S" ones - Snoopy and Sissy. They were all kitties except for Buddy (worst dog ever!). Oh yeah, and we had rabbits named Sugar and Spice.

I always loved Liberty...calling Libby for short. The next girl dog or cat we get is going to be a Libby.

We have a cat named Sargent (Sarge), a bull mastiff named Gunner and I think the new Chihuahua is going to get renamed to either Corpral or Corps or something else military-esque (FH is former USMC).

You might think of some theme for your animals.

OMG, this is too funny! My Mom got this kitten about a month ago (it was a stray that she took in), and I guess on Friday, she went home and found out that she'd had a kitten! We had no idea that she was pregnant. My Mom's cat was a Calico, but her kitten is pure white. We told her that we'd take the baby, and the second we started thinking of names, I immediately thought of this thread. Of course, we don't have internet at our house, so I couldn't consult it to get name ideas. We think it's a boy (not that I know the first thing about telling the difference in gender for kittens), but we named him Banda.

I got an email from the girl who had the kitten. She said the owner found her and told her that they wanted to return it to the mother. So the one in the pic of the first page of this thread is not going to end up with us. However, I think we're going to keep lookin :)

Yeah, he kind of looks like a rat. I hardly ever get to see him cause he's always nursing, then I pick him up and he just meows and complains. He's already a complainer, lol. But I don't blame him. His Mom gets all excited when we come to visit her, so she always sits on him and steps on him while trying to get us to pet her. Poor kid, lol.

It's a comprehensive list of animal rescues that usually includes pictures of the animals that are up for adoption. You'd probably have better luck finding one with similar colors there than by just checking the papers.

LOL ain't nothin wrong with Mickey... my aunt's name is Mickey (she just spells it different - don't ask me how LOL)
