I know a couple of you are having western weddings and I have found some cute things I would like to share.

http://www2.balloons-galore.net/prod_images_large/blackbootconfetti.jpg This is confetti. You can get it in 4 different colors. They also have horse confetti as well.

http://www2.balloons-galore.net/prod_images_large/hbh288341.gif a ring bearer horse shoe instead of a pillow.

Old hats are great decorations as well. Square bales of hay are neat to have.

Thanks. I know there are a couple of people having western themes and I just came across these and thought I would post them. You know the horse shoe thing would be easy to make if you know people with horses.

I noticed that when I was looking at it. I like the whole "western" theme, but while Brian is country, hes not a cowboy, so that theme wouldnt fit well for us.

We are not doing a western theme although Justin would love it if we did. Our theme is winter wonderland. I am involved in "country" things (I am going to have an animal science degree and I ride horses and used to show heifers and what not. I used to rodeo.) Justin is a county extension agent so he works with 4-H kids. I wanted a more elegant wedding and not that western couldn't be elegant, but it seems it is more layed back. I want alot of glitz and sparkle. I don't know how well I'll pull that off in the end, but we'll see.

We are the same way!! My DH is a country boy but he's not really a cowboy! I wouldn't have wanted the hats and boots because the three GM would have had to go out and buy Black wranglers, boots and hats! The only one who would have owned them would be me and my DH! lol...I couldn't ask them to spend like three hundred bucks on something they would have never worn again!! It would have been the same for my BMs!

The only ones in our wedding that are wearing ( if he still wants to ) is my FH and my son. I mentioned to him about getting a new hat and he said eh didn't want the hat any more. I said "WHAT, you realy wanted this." He said he changed his mind. Now who is the woman here I mean realy. Only I am allowed to change my mind over and over. Is he gonna tell me next week he wants it now?

Even thoagh our wedding is not a western theme, Justin is going to still be wearing boots and he will put his hat on at the reception. Most of the groomsmen will as well I'm sure.

Brian is the SAME way. :bbmad: I always tell him that I hate the fact that plans with him are subject to change WITHOUT notice.
