There's this watch that FH has been wanting for a couple of years now. It's a Tissot, and it's a limited edition Nicky Hayden commemerative chronograph (he's a motorcycle racer... and if you're not familiar with him, look him up, cus he's HOT!!!!).
Anyway, it's very hard to find in stores, and with something like that, I really want to buy it in person, not off Ebay or something.
We'd found it at a jewelry store here and he was going to get it, and had them hold it for him... and then he forgot to go back, and they put it back on the floor and it sold.
So the other day, I took the afternoon off (I had some vacation time I had to burn) and went shopping. Went into our local Jared's (even though we'd had a horrific experience there before) and was just browsing... I noticed they had the watch, so I was looking at it. It was 15% off MSRP... hmmm.... so I'm contemplating it, but I mention that I'm bad about keeping gifts a secret, so I might just come back and get it (we always give each other Bday and Christmas gifts wayyyy early)....
So he says why don't I just put it on layaway. Hmmm... now I could've just bought it then and there, it wasn't that I couldn't afford it (I'm of the mindset that if I can't buy something then and there with money in the bank, then I don't need it that badly), but I didn't want to have to worry about HIDING it for the next 5 months.
So I did it... stuck it on layaway. I'm so excited!!!! He's absolutely going to looooooove it!!!
