I've posted a few times already, but I never formally introduced myself, so here it goes!
My name is Erica, and my FH is Matt. We met at SUNY Oswego in 2003 at our job, but we were both in very long term relationships (5 years & 7 years). There was an instant connection and we had so much fun together, but neither of us ever said anything or made any moves.
In 2005, I transferred to Elmira College and we kind of lost touch. In the summer of 2006, I broke it off with my boyfriend and was having a really hard time. A few months later, I decided to make a trip to Oswego to visit my college friends, but had no intention of meeting up with Matt.
A few cosmopolitans later.... I got on AIM and started to talk to him, and confessed how in love I was with him for so many years... whoops! :upsidown: We met the next day and had lunch.. but then I had to return home.
We talked constantly for a month, and then decided to meet up again. We had lunch and went to a movie, and right then we knew that we were meant to be together. He's the best thing that has ever happened to me and I can't believe we went so many years not saying a word about our feelings for each other. But it was definitely worth the wait.
A year and a half later, on March 14th.. Matt proposed :) We've lived together for awhile now, and I'm excited about the whole wedding process! You guys have so many great ideas, and you've inspired me to DIY for a lot of stuff.
