Okay FH and I are invited to a baby shower for a girl he used to work with.
I do not like this girl. She is a perfectly nice person except for the fact that she lacks basic morals and common sense...
On the bases of 1)she caused tension in mine & FH relationship when we first got together b/c she's a bit of a floosey and didnt mind letting everyone know it.
2) she recently had a job that was only temperary...well she started sleeping with her (married) boss and when he let her know the position was going to be running out she told him the only way she wouldnt let his wife know about their affair was if he paid her off.... one 2006 BMW later, she left with out letting the cat out of the bag (I already know, its the bosses fault as much as hers b/c he shouldnt be sleepng with an employee, but remember I already dislike this girl so lets just pile on the guilt:snide:)
3) the baby she is currently expecting was fathered by another married man whom she met while working a local club during hunting season.(once again I KNOW...its not the childs fault who its parents are but If I cant go to a shower with completely happy wishes for the expectant mother I dont think I should go at all.)
So should I bite my tongue and go or stand my ground?

So don't go; if you want to keep the peace then send a card and a small gift.

Amen to that! Im sorry I think I really should have put this in the vents & frustrations thread:( But I couldnt talk to anyone I know about this b/c they all know her and would be like "well why aren't you going" Do you ever jsut not like someone even though everoyone else seems to think they're the cats meow?:(

The topic would be fine here (since it is not wedding related) or there, so no worries ;)

I wouldn't worry what other people think, you don't have to tell them exactly why, just tell them you had other plans or something.

:goodluck:

Wow, this lady sounds like a total gem. I have a friend who's kind of the male version of her, oddly enough.

Anyway, I agree, I wouldn't go if I didn't care for the person it was for. Send a card and/or gift if you'd like, but if you don't care about offending her, then just let her know you won't be attending. It sounds like someone I'd try and do away with as well. You don't want to get mixed up in her drama.
