I have to tell you all my blinds story. After work I needed to buy new window blinds because Ellie destroyed the ones in the living room yesterday. Of course since it is Ellie all things are fine with that in the world of Sean.
So after work I stopped at Home Depot to check out the blinds. They had exactly what I wanted, wooden blinds with a cherry finish. Great. I was loking around, one problem, our one set of sindows measures 26 3/8". They only had down to a 27" blind. So I ask the girl if she could cut them. Of course with the wooden blinds they can't. That makes sense. She asks me what size I need. I tell her. Then she tells me that I can use the 27" blinds. I was like, huh? She says that the 27" blinds will fit into the 26 3/8" opening of my window. (The blinds hang inside the window not on the wall outside of the window). She continues to tell me that of course they will fit. You have 1/2" on each side for leeway. I try to explain to her that the box in front of us says that they fit a window MINIMUM size of 27". My window however is smaller than that. I need to special order blinds. She keeps telling me that I am wrong. She is aware that I mean to hang them in the window. The 27" blind will fit into my smaller opening. Then I ask her where am I going to put the hardware to actuall hang the blinds. She asks me what I am talking about. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! What strange world of physics operates within the realm of the Home Depot? This woman was retarded! I could not get her to understand that my window need to be 5/8" larger so that the blinds she was selling me would fit. I couldn't get her to understand that you can't buy the blinds bigger than the window if you are going to hang them with in the window! I wanted to choke someone!
No wonder this girl was selling blinds, if she had to mix pain innocent people could get hurt! I swear God puts me in situations with people just to get a cheap laugh!
