This weekend was a successful one! We went up to Asheville to do some wedding planning. We found our rehearsal dinner location. It's a funky, yet nice, little restaurant that holds not even 70 people... so very intimate. They'll section off a section for us. We're going to do a late dinner... around 7:30, so that they'll be able to reserve more seats for us, since we're inviting any/everyone to join us. And they have TONS of veggie options, so YAY!
Also, we went to the lodge, our ceremony site to figure out EXACTLY where to have the ceremony. We wanted to do it on this great big hill, but it's too steep for the grandparents to climb... not to mention me in a wedding dress!
So we decided to do it in the "pavilion" which USED to be a big open porch with a roof. WELL... the lady decided to close it up with walls and I was really really really nervous about how it'd look and how dark it'd be, etc. But I fell in love with it... white walls with wood trim everywhere, tons of window, and 6 sets of glass doors.. .so lots of light and views of the outdoors... not to mention a nice deck outside of it, and two rooms off the main room for us to hide in and also store any food.
And here's the thing... we did a mock-walk through to see how it'd look with us both walking down the two sides of the room together to meet in the middle.. .and we imagined the chairs there since there weren't any there yet, of course, and I got SOOOO nervous just thinking about 40 people sitting so close staring at me!
But all in all, I'm excited. I think it'll be nice and intimate and hopefully I won't pass out from nerves. :sweatdrop:
