GRRRRR.... it's nearly 4 am and i'm awake.
My neighbor is 'banging' on the wall. I'm 90% positive there headboard must be on the other side of the wall of mine. I got so fed up i banged on the wall to get them banging back at me. :censored: I had to leave my room because it was bothering me so much.
I am so tired of living in this apartment. I want to move so badly. Right now it doesen't feel like May can come fast enough. We need so much more space. Like a basement or a garage. I need my own walls so i don't have to hear people's kids running up and down the hall, the people who live upstairs drop everything, and my neighbors banging on the wall.
I am so tired and so grumpy right now i want to either cry or scream. This cold is taking the life out of me, i am constantly tired and when i wake up in the middle of the night i have a hard time falling back to sleep. :bbcry: I want Mark to be home.
Can i stomp my feet and throw a tantrum?!

I don't see why you can't. But with all the headboard banging and screaming kids I don't think anyone would take notice. :bbmrgreen: I know how you feel. We used to have awful neighrbors. They partied every weekend. We would wake up to food and beer bottles in my flower beds. At one point they even took down all the "No Parking" signs so their friends could use our street as a parking lot when they partied. Sean and I along with some other neighbors got together and decide everytime we got annoyed by their parties (which were a couple times a week), we would just call the police. We live in a really nice neighborhood but these were a cople pain in the butt college kids whose dad's had bought the house for them so they didn't have to live on campus. Eventually they got labled a nusaince house and there were police patrols all the time up and down our street. Thankfully after their style got cramped they moved. The couple that moved in is much nicer, even if they don't clean up after their dog. (I wil catch them in the act one day!)
If it is that annoying start calling the police. Tell them you hear screaming kids and youa re concerned about hwere the parents are at. Or it is 4 am you hear banging. Maybe a couple tickets and a visit from Children's Services will teach your neighbor's some civility.
As for the cold, you need to go to the doctor. If you are still feelng THAT bad and it has been more than just a couple of days, you probably need an sntibiotic. Viruses like the common cold only hang around for a couple of days at the most. It sounds like a nice little bacteria has decided to move in.

I know how it feels to live in an apartment. I spent a year in a dorm and a couple years in an apartment. I am so glad to be living in a house now, even if we still rent. I lived in one apartment where the walls were so thin I swear you could hear your neighbors conversations if they talked in a normal voice even. And about he space issue, even when we moved from an apartment into a house we still seemed to fill everything up and now we could use more. I don't know if its just us, or what, but every time we get more space we fill it up!

I know how you feel Jenn! I used to live in an apartment with kids upstairs and they would wake us up every Sat and Sun with the noise! If it gets to be too much of a problem for you, call the apartment manager and complain.
Then when we first moved in our house our neighbors had a dog that would bark incessively at all hours of the night ... OMG it SO got on my nerves!! DH went over there a couple of times and asked them to try and keep the dog quiet and it would be ok for a few days (I think they brought the dog inside) but then it would start back! Our driveway was right next to their fence so whenever I would come home he would start up. Thank God they finally moved.
Sorry for rambling on about that ... I hope it all works out for you. So you are moving in May? Start a count down ;)

Hopefully moving in May, closer to Mark's work and our families. If not May by the end of June. Once i am done classes there is no need for us to be here.
Normally i don't have many problems with my neighbors. But it seems like when it rains it pours. This morning kids where running up and down the hall on the floor above me. I was tempted to go up there and say somthing... But... i chickened out.
oh.... the phone just rang and i've completely forgotten what i was going to say next. :bbconfused: Maybe it's time to take this cold back to bed.

oh i so know how you feel right now. i have an annoying :censored: of a neighbor too. constantly she bangs on the wall late at night every night. her kids run around she stomps..it seems like it never ends. she was the first one to complain about me when i first moved in making too much noise with the tv. my tv with no surround sound on it. then my kids were too noisy. people like that just want the world to revolve around them. i ignore her most of the time and if it gets too bad i would tell the manager about it. start calling the cops. moving or not you shouldnt have to put up with that at all. and clearly it's been going on for quite some time. hopefully they'll get the message when the men in blue are knocking on their door that late at night.

I know the feeling ladies. I have a neighbor like that too. Her granddaughter who she has custody of on the weekends screams all day/night long. Her son comes home drunk and is having parties at the same time. I have talked to the landlord and called the police on them. It only made it worse. I'm looking for another apartment also, but am not having much luck

Sorry Jenn that you are having to deal with all of this. And for all of you other ladies that have been dealing with it too. That is why I prefer to live in the country. I dont have to worry about my kids bothering anybody or someone elses bothering me.

Me too. But it's my own dogs that bother me! Or if you're at my parents house the stupid rooster crows at the break of dawn! Sometimes at my house you can hear the cows bellowing. And last night my cat was meowing at the door until I got up and shoved him in another room. Oh, I should shut up now because I am sounding like I have Old McDonalds Farm.

Dont feel bad......I dont have the farm now.......but a few years ago, my ex had a calf in the backyard and when i would open the back door to feed him, he would knock me over and go climb up on the couch and lay down. We also had chickens and a rooster and if I could have gotten my hands on the **** thing we would have had rooster and dumplings!
