I had never heard this, so I thought I'd share.
I have to pick up my flowers the day before the wedding, so I asked if I needed to keep it in the fridge. My designer said to keep it cool, but NOT in the fridge. He said that if you have fruit in there too, or if you have recently, the natural gases that the fruit gives off will make your flowers 'go to sleep', closing the petals.
I had never heard that before, so I thought I'd pass along the info, in case anyone was thinking about keeping their flowers in the fridge. :flower:
