I have to say, for those of us who are already married this is a seldom used area. We need to give it some life. Here goes.........

1) What do you remember most about your wedding day?
2) Was it a formal affair, casual event, intimate gathering or elopement?
3) Did anything not go as planned?
4) How did you feed each other the cake?
5) What kind of cake did you have?
6) What was the first song did you danced to as a married couple
7) Did you do a bouquet/garter toss?
8) Do you do anything for a honeymoon?
9) If there was onething you could have done differently what would it be?
10) Are you ready to post some pictures of your wedding day?

1) What do you remember most about your wedding day?

I just remember the look of pure happiness on my DH's face as I walked up the aisle. His smile lit up his face from ear to ear and he had tears in his eyes!! I love to remember the way he looked when he first saw me and I saw him!! I could see the love for me he has in his eyes! It was like it was written all over his face!! It brings a smile to my face and a tear to my eye just thinking about it!!

2) Was it a formal affair, casual event, intimate gathering or elopement?

It was a formal affair, though my mom's family TRIED to make it casual!! They just ended up looking like back west hill billys to be truthful!!

3) Did anything not go as planned?

A lot of things did not go as planned but I'd rather not dwell on it!! I married the man of my dreams!!

4) How did you feed each other the cake?

No smashing of cake in faces here!! I find that highly immature and disgusting. (no offence to anyone, but I paid money for dress, hair and make up why ruin it!!) We fed it to each other very nicely!!

5) What kind of cake did you have?

I can't really remember...lol. It had cream cheese icing and it was soooo good. One was marble, one was chocolate and one vanilla I think!!

6) What was the first song did you danced to as a married couple?

I Cross My Heart - George Strait

7) Did you do a bouquet/garter toss?

Yes, I didn't toss my bouqet (it cost a 100 bucks and was too beautiful to throw!!) I had a throw away bouqet that was small.

8) Do you do anything for a honeymoon?

We went to Hawaii...it was wonderful!!

9) If there was onething you could have done differently what would it be?

Not given into others demands!! We should have planned it OUR way!! And did everything the way WE wanted!!

10) Are you ready to post some pictures of your wedding day?

Can't! Don't have a scanner!! D'oh!

Ok, I'll go ...

1) What do you remember most about your wedding day? - When we kissed after the ceremony and DH whispered in my ear "I Love You Baby" Oh, I will never forget that moment

2) Was it a formal affair, casual event, intimate gathering or elopement? - very intimate, we got married in our living room with just our parents there ... well, the minister and the photographer were there too ;)

3) Did anything not go as planned? - Well, we changed the plans quite a bit through out ... but the final thing went pretty much as we wanted. Well the minister forgot to read this one thing I wanted him to read but it was still nice.

4) How did you feed each other the cake? - we didn't do that

5) What kind of cake did you have? - didn't have a cake

6) What was the first song did you danced to as a married couple? - we didn't do that either

7) Did you do a bouquet/garter toss? - nah, we didn't have a traditional reception, it was more of a party

8) Do you do anything for a honeymoon? - Yes, we went on a cruise to Key West and the Bahamas. It was fun but I don't think we are cruise people, so we probably won't go on a cruise again.

9) If there was one thing you could have done differently what would it be? - I don't know, I sort of wish we had a nicer reception so I could have danced with my daddy. That and I would have stuck more to my diet so I would have lost the weight I wanted to.

10) Are you ready to post some pictures of your wedding day? - Well, I am not very happy with my pictures ... mostly because I don't like the way I look ;) Besides that, I didn't do anything formal so I don't think you guys would care ... but here is my fav moment (as mentioned above) ...

My husband and I had a wonderful wedding. Where do I start gee. Ok our wedding was in houston tx. It was at this historic southern plantation mansion called hidden oaks bed and breakfast. The property was so beautiful it was like your not in houston anymore. Anyways my husband was in his military uniform and I wore a celtic theme wedding dress. It wasn't real poofy or gaudy though. Our wedding was held outside and it was nice and cool because it was in october of last year. My preacher did a wonderful ceremony. And he had read a religious poem I picked out about the symbolism of doves. And at the same time we had a dove in our hands. Then we released the doves over the audience. Then we had trained doves in two different baskets. Fly over the guest I mean it was really neat.

Our wedding was very formal but relaxed. My bartenders and cateres wore tuxedos and we had all kinds of alcohol and a champaign fountain. We had good food and a good dj. We also had dancing and it was so fun to see my grandmother doing the harlem shuffle with a margarita in her hand. Go grandma!

A few things went wrong at our wedding. Like the preacher showed up 45 minutes late. And my photographer was bossy and wanted to take over the wedding. That didn't happen though. Abd certain family members did not show to our wedding nor did my husbands parents. But I overlooked that and just thought how proud I am to have such a wonderful man. And wonderful people that did come. And nothing will be perfect at any wedding.

My husband messed up my face with the cake hahaha

The first song we danced to is Can I have this dance for the rest of my life by anne murray.

My name is crystal and my husbands name is darrell. I am introducing ourselves on this post. I should have done this at the top of this page. I will not go on and on about our wedding. I do not want to bore anyone. And I don't want to overly brag either. Marriage life is great though. We live in germany now because he is in the military. We do not have kids yet but plan to. This was both of ours first marriage and only marriage. I miss my husband though they just sent him to kuwait last week. I will not see him until november. I will post pictures on this site later so everyone can see.

1) What do you remember most about your wedding day? I remember that I was calm and relaxed until I saw Joe at the other end of the aisle and I almost started running. I couldn't wait to be his wife.
2) Was it a formal affair, casual event, intimate gathering or elopement? Joe and I were dresses formally as well as our "bridal party" And we requested that our guests come casually dresses because it was outdoors at a park. After pics and stuff we changed. heck Joe was barefoot!
3) Did anything not go as planned? Our ring bearer ran down the aisle with his hands over his eyes, and my daughter threw the rose petal at the guest! It was so funny! Then when she got to the end of the aisle she threw her basket in the stream. It was the funniest thing that was not planned
4) How did you feed each other the cake? We tired to be good, but it's hard when you feed someone else to keep it neat!
5) What kind of cake did you have? Chocolate with chocolate frosting, and barvarian cream filling with fresh strawberries.
6) What was the first song did you danced to as a married couple? At Last by Etta James. The song has always moved me. Now I have a reason to let it move me.
7) Did you do a bouquet/garter toss? Neither, Most of our fiends are married, or in a long term relationship.
8) Do you do anything for a honeymoon? We went to Club Med in Cancun. It was nice, but when we go back to Mexico we will try another resort.
9) If there was one thing you could have done differently what would it be? I would have rented an air conditioned reception site. It was HOT
10) Are you ready to post some pictures of your wedding day? I have them, but I am not sure how to post them on this forum.

OMG! Sorry, but I laughed a little. That sounds like my ex's family! For our civil ceremony his cousin showed up looking like a hooker and his grandma was wearing a hot pink wind suit, a cowboy hat and what looked like combat boots! You can't make people have class!

... 10) Are you ready to post some pictures of your wedding day? I have them, but I am not sure how to post them on this forum.

Posting pics is easy ;) First you have to have them on the web, either on a website of your own or you can get free image hosting at www.photobucket.com Then, once you have a URL for the pic you just copy and paste the URL in the post between the 'img' tags like so ... your image URL here

Hope this helps ... looking forward to seeing some pics :D

I really wish a person could!! I dislike my mom's family so much!! My inlaws have money and know how to dress nicely, my mom's family showed up earing blue jeans and cowboy hats!! Te hats didn't bother me so much but it was the blue jeans and my one cousin wearing a sloppy t shirt that got me P.O.ed!! Oh and my Grandmother wore this really ugly sweater in our pictures, I couldn't tell her ot take it off, but it was tacky!! Anyhow, I only love my mom and dad and a select few others on my side, and the ones that count, dressed as they should!! At least my brother didn't show up looking like he came off the job site!! Lol!! Talk to you all when I get home!! I'm away on "business" right now! lol!!

Thanks Everyone! You are all so wonderful. Cindy At first I was going to do 1/2 up 1/2 down and after the "trial run" the girl did such a bad job I switched salons and found a picture of that. It took 112 bobby pins and it stayed up all night. Joe and I had to play hunt the bobby pins when we got to our hotel!

Audrey......Im wanting to try a create the hairstyle you have in your wedding pics. My hair isnt as thick as yours but I can get it in that style, with only a few bobby pins even! My thing is I think the larger tiara will look funny and my sister recommended getting the little one like for a flower girl since it going to be just up against the bun. Would that work and still look right?

Cindy, i had the tall tiara for two reasons, one I wated to look like a princess, and two, I wanted to look taller. I do have very thick hair so the tiara actually looked better because it encompased more of my hair. I think a small one would be fine, but I don't think it will fit around the curls as well and it might get lost in all your hair. Have you done a trial run? If not try it, see if you like it. If you do great, and if not tnen you still have plenty of time to change your mind. Good Luck, I must have chose 30 hairstyles before I settled on that one (which was one of my first choices)

Thanks. Ive been toying with different things and had decided that I wanted to wear my hair up like that. Ive just wanted something pretty to wear in my hair but not too outrageous since I wont be wearing a veil. Im going to look at the little tiaras this weekend hopefully and if I dont like it I will just give it to my daughter. She thinks shes royalty anyway!

My "veil" was a last minute thing. I was planning on just the tiara, then I threw together a veil, because I liked the way it looked with my gown. Happy shopping! What color finish are you looking for? Ebay has tons of tiara's, that's where I got mine. Plus my jewelry, slip, corsett, and few other things.

1) What do you remember most about your wedding day?
How much fun we had. From the minute we got up at 6am until I finally fell asleep at 330am in the middle of our afterparty, I had more fun than I though I could imagine.
2) Was it a formal affair, casual event, intimate gathering or elopement?
It was a very formal affiair.
3) Did anything not go as planned?
Everything ran very smoothly all day. I didn't notice anything major. So if I didn't notice it, no one else didn't notice it. I planned a perfect wedding and I got as close to it as possible.
4) How did you feed each other the cake?
Very gently. It had black icing on it and we didn't want to ruin my dress. So we put it on a plate and used dessert forks to feed it to each other.
5) What kind of cake did you have?
It was a 5 tier cake. The cake was yello filled with lemon curd and fresh strawberries. It had a white buttercream icing with a black henna inspired design.
6) What was the first song did you danced to as a married couple?

No

1) What do you remember most about your wedding day? I remember how much fun we all had. Me and Nicholas and our freinds and family. We all had a great time. And I loved it.

2) Was it a formal affair, casual event, intimate gathering or elopement? It was casual. Most of the wedding party changed their clothes during the reception. I didnt care but I wore my dress untill we got to the hotel after 1 am.

3) Did anything not go as planned? Well we were supposed to have had the ceremony outside at my sisters house. But because of the weather that didnt happen so we had to have it at the reception site.

1) What do you remember most about your wedding day?
Everything. It's all still very vivid in my mind.

2) Was it a formal affair, casual event, intimate gathering or elopement?
Formal

3) Did anything not go as planned?
The salon was running late, so in turn I was late getting back from it and we didn't get to do all of the family pictures we wanted. We did them after the ceremony instead, so it wasn't that big of a deal.

4) How did you feed each other the cake?
Very carefully lol! I told DH if he smashed cake all over me after I had spent all that money getting my makeup done I'd never forgive him.

5) What kind of cake did you have?
Square, 3 layers with our monogram on the bottom layer. Each layer was a different flavor- chocolate, vanilla, and yellow. Our cake topper was a Marge and Homer Simpson toy.

6) What was the first song did you danced to as a married couple?
I've Got You Under My Skin by Frank Sinatra

7) Did you do a bouquet/garter toss?
Yes

8) Do you do anything for a honeymoon?'
We could never find a good time to go, so we didn't go on one.

9) If there was onething you could have done differently what would it be?
An earlier hair appointment maybe?

10) Are you ready to post some pictures of your wedding day?

I'm new here and I just got married!! :D I have lots of great pictures to share but I don't think I have enough posts yet. I will fill out the survey though...

1) What do you remember most about your wedding day?

I have no idea... the whole thing! It all went better than I hoped. Probably the best moment was walking into the rehearsal the night before and seeing all our closest friends and family members waiting for us in our church. And the rehearsal dinner was huge with lots of festivity. I remember thinking, "I would have been happy with this as the wedding!!" I guess the thing I remember most from the wedding was the number of people that showed up! It was about 4 times the size of the rehearsal and dinner which I was happy with!!

2) Was it a formal affair, casual event, intimate gathering or elopement?

I would say semi-formal- it was in a small cathedral and the wedding party was dressed really formally but the wedding wasn't stuffy or anything. Guests were wearing semi-formal and though we had a lot of formal traditions, everyone was in a pretty relaxed mood (including me!).

3) Did anything not go as planned?

OH YES... first, Hugo got sick on Thursday and almost fell out during dinner with our parents, then I came down with what he had as the day progressed Friday... so we were SICK on our wedding day!! I thought I wouldn't have a voice to say the vows! After the rehearsal I was in the suite drinking herbal tea, gargling salt water and eating cough drops, and I only got less than 3 hours sleep because I was so stopped up I couldn't breathe through my nose!! We got through the wedding but we didn't feel well, especially me going on no sleep.

Also, the Holiday Inn screwed us over. We were supposed to have the ballroom until midnight and it was in the contract. Well they booted us out at 9 PM to set up a watch collectors' convention!!! I demanded to see the manager- who showed me a contract they CHANGED at the last minute and NEVER SHOWED US!!! Oh the horror. Good thing we had parties going on upstairs, and guests never knew- but still we knew and were furious- they owe us a partial refund!!!!!!!!!!

4) How did you feed each other the cake?

With a fork- no smashing- and I didn't want to eat it with my hands. I have a great picture of it!
http://tinyurl.com/mrnbq

5) What kind of cake did you have?

Chocolate with vanilla buttercream and raspberry sauce on the side. The sauce was a heart shape on the plate.

6) What was the first song did you danced to as a married couple?

"Contigo Aprendi" by Maria Martha Serra Lima & Estela Raval. It's an old Spanish bolero that means "With you, I learned"- and Hugo's dad and godfather serenaded us during the first dance!!
http://tinyurl.com/qyfq9

7) Did you do a bouquet/garter toss?

Yes, and I was so glad we did. First I threw the bouquet and it went straight to a 14-yr-old girl that Hugo and I used to babysit... she was so surprised!! She kept asking all night, "Can I really keep it?" (it was a toss bouquet and I said of course!!) Then my mom's colleague's son caught the garter!! They were all so happy.

8) Do you do anything for a honeymoon?

We had 2!!! First we went to a historic bed & breakfast at the Outer Banks, NC. It was perfect. Full breakfasts were brought up to us every morning and we spent the days drinking rum & 7-up on the nearly deserted beach and did a lot of fun beachy things like fly kites and go mini-golf.
After we got back we had to wash and repack to go to Florida! It was part business trip, part continuation of the honeymoon! We went to Disney Magic Kingdom (a disappointment!!) and Animal Kingdom (1000% better!!)- and spent time downtown and visiting extended family.

9) If there was one thing you could have done differently what would it be?

Well, I wouldn't have trusted the Holiday Inn reception coordinator so much. I didn't want to be a bridezilla over every detail and I wanted to relax and enjoy everything as much as possible, so I left as much as I could to this coordinator, who kept saying "I'll take care of it."

10) Are you ready to post some pictures of your wedding day?

Yes! :)

1) What do you remember most about your wedding day?
The way that Eric kept looking at me and the fact that I knew for a fact that he was where I belonged!

2) Was it a formal affair, casual event, intimate gathering or elopement?
A formal cowboy affair! Black Tuxes, cowboy hats and boots! My girls were in black and white and the whole thing was spalshed with red roses!

3) Did anything not go as planned?
Ringbearer yawned after the prayer (we all giggled)!
Eric and I got our right hands mixed up (took us forever to "HOLD RIGHT HANDS) LOL!
His ring wouldn't go on and I threatened to SPIT on it (the BM heard me and started laughing)!
Best Man dropped my ring before he handed it to Eric (we laughed AGAIN)!

WHICH BY THE WAY MADE IT THE MOST FUN RELAXED MEMORABLE WEDDING!

4) How did you feed each other the cake?
We fed each other a bite and then I put a dab of icing on his nose and he put some on my chin and we kissed it off!

5) What kind of cake did you have?
My sister made the wedding and grooms cake. Wedding cake was vanilla with buttercream icing and grooms cake was chocolate with choc filling and icing YUMMY AND GORGEOUS!

6) What was the first song did you danced to as a married couple?
Like Red on A Rose/ ALAN JACKSON

7) Did you do a bouquet/garter toss?

We did both and had a BLAST!

8) Do you do anything for a honeymoon?
We went to Gatlinburg for 3 days and will be going to Cocoa Beach in 30 days for a week!

9) If there was one thing you could have done differently what would it be?
NOT ONE THING! IT WAS A DREAM COME TRUE!

10) Are you ready to post some pictures of your wedding day?
ALREADY HAVE!!!!!!!!!!
