Anyone have links to wholesale flowers. I was thinking of mixing it up a bit. Using silk for decorations and real flowers for me and the wedding party.

I know some suggested Sams club, any others?

Thanks,
lesley

Speaking of flowers, should my flowers match everyone elses... I want my girls to carry Gerber Daisy's and I want wild flowers?

You're flowers don't have to match everyone eles. Yours will be a bigger more extravagent boquet.

I agree ... yours can be bigger with the same flowers or the same size and use totally different flowers or whatever. It is just the color scheme that usually coordinates. The wedding I am helping with is using deep pink Gerber daisies in the BM's bouquets and the brides bouquet will be solid ivory roses tied with pink ribbon ... the boutonnieres and corsages will be made with blush roses. Her colors are deep pink and ivory.

Definitely go more extravagant-- you've earned it! You can even go with a different style-- cascading, nosegay, etc.

That sounds a bit like what i am doing, but i am going to have the deep pink gerbers roses and tulips. My bridesmaids will have the same ones but all white. My aunt recommended that i not have white flowers because she found that her's blended into her dress to much so you couldn't see them so well in the photos. The white will pop nice against the blue and black outfits the BM's are wearing.

As a former photographer, I can say this is not really that big of a problem ;) However, I usually recommend to use Ivory roses, I like them better anyway ;)

This is true, my friend used white silk flowers in her bridal bouquet and they were so white that they blended into the dress. Real flowers that are white aren't truly white they have different casts and tones to them. SO they will stand out against a white dress. If you are too worried maybe put a collar of leaves or some filler flowers in a color through your bouquet.

Lesley I have a suggestion for you. Ok what kind of flowers do you like? What is your theme and colors. You never said anything at your first post. And I didn't read the other peoples replys. But I used silk flowers in my wedding and nobody even knew the difference. My bridal bouquet was cascading with nothing but cherry and off white calla lilys. But have you ordered your bouquet yet or are you still figuring out what you want. I order seeds online and you can even make a bridal bouquet from your own home garden of flowers. Calla lillys are my favorite flowers along with blue bonnets. If you want you can send me a private reply so I can forward you some links to help you. I like to grow my own stuff. I have a lot of neat plants. My friends call me plant lady.
