Shortly before my brother passed away, he met his daughter for the first time. Her mother contacted my mother and I when she found out she was pregnant and we've been very much in touch ever since. She lives in Mexico, so I have only seen them a few times, but she's moving up here!! She quit her job and she flies up on April 22!!! I"m so psyched!

We first met Jasmine when she was 2 months old when she stayed with us for a few months (till right after Christmas '06). She then went back to Mexico and came back out for my brother's funeral in April '07. I haven't seen her since May '07, but I got pics!!! She sure is growin up too fast!

Thank you!!! Funny thing is, the first time she came up here at 2 mos, I carried her across the Mexico border - everyone thought she was mine! She looked like I did as a baby :soppy:

She is absolutely adorable. She does look a lot like you. My older half brother has a daughter and the first time my fh saw her he said she looked like me. It's funny how that works out. I wish they would move closer. They live in Germany.

Oh so far away!!! That sucks! It is funny how it works though - my brother's kid looks like me :upsidown:

I dont ever remember you speaking of your brother, so ill offer my sincere condolences here. How wonderful it is to have your niece closer now, She is at such an awesome age, this will be such a cool thing to see her grow.

Thanks... I posted a thread on the 28th in vents section. March 28 would have been his 24th birthday, and April 2 was his 1 year death anniversary. I'm just glad he got to meet his daughter before he passed on - and I'm soooo glad she's moving up here! I just hope we can convince them to stay for good. Her mamma's talkin bout movin to Idaho with my brother's dad. We'll see how that goes.

I just got to talk to her on the phone for the first time ever!!!! It was fantastic I almost cried! Her mamma called me to wish me a happy birthday, and sang to me, then Jasmine got on the phone and says "Hi! Hi I love you so much!" Loud and clear! It was precious!!!

They are coming out on Sunday so that I can see them. I'm so EXCITED!!!!

I love how you worded that, cuz you're so right!! She's freekin adorable! (but then again, I'm biased :love: ) That'd be so cute! I'm hoping she gets along well with her cousins for the wedding.. I want a LOT of pics of the kids!!!!

Hahahaha, yeah, I LOVE kids and think they add so much fun to a wedding. They keep things fun. I'm definitely making sure that everyone knows to bring the kids to ours. Dancing is always more entertaining with kids around too, lol. I know Josiah's gonna be a dancing machine!
