For favors, we decided to do personalized seed packets with Forget-me-not flowers. I used kraft paper cardstock, cut into long rectangles, made a template with Adobe Illustrator, printed them out and sewed up the two sides with teal/turquoise thread. I then ordered in bulk forget-me-not seeds, separated them into the 50-ish packets and glued them shut on the back. I think the total cost for 50 of them was about $15... but that's with a lot of extra brown kraft paper, and thread.

It says "Forget me Nots symbolize true love and memories. We hope that you plant these flowers and remember us and the beautiful day you shared with us."

The back has all the plant info - germination time, height, etc...

What a cool idea! If it weren't for the fact that so many people I know can't have a garden (because they're in apartments, or whatever) I would probably steal it :)
I like how you did the packets up too.

I got the seeds from cheapseeds.com. I think I got 1000 seeds for $5.00!!! And free shipping! (at least when I got them).
I planted some of the seeds a week ago, because if they bloom in time, I can use them in addition to my tissue-paper flowers for decoration, and they are already popping up!
As far as the needle and thread, I used my sewing machine and some $3 thread I got at Hancock Fabrics.

Those are awesome! How clever are you to sew the seed packets on the sewing machine!!
All of your DIY is wonderful and I love your color choices! I can't wait to see everything all together.

It actually didn't take that long! Once I got the strips of paper cut, I just had to fold them, and zip zip zip on the machine, and they were done!
