:bbcry:

I found out today that i most likely won't be able to get peonies for my wedding. I'm totally bummed out. They will cost $10 a stem to get them because they will mostlikely have to bring them in from Holland. That is way out of my budget for centrepeices and for 5 boutiquets.

Now i am totally lost as to what flower i should do. I really loved that the peonies where so big and fluffy. Any ideas floating arround out there on what i can do now insted?! I'm looking for white and pink.

Can you do silk peonies? I've seen some beautiful silks that you'd swear were real.

have you thought about using ranunculus. It's a little hardier than peonies, but much less expensive (around $1.50 per stem) Try this link and take a look. Good Luck! We got all our flowersf om here, and they were perfect.

What about hydrangeas? (If you can't find good-looking silk peonies). http://www.miriamgrebeimages.com/images/Flowers/Hydrangeas8.jpg

ETA - I found a picture of some ranunculus as mentioned by Audrey above http://www.vdqbulbs.com.au/graphics/anemone/anemjpees/ranunculas_big.jpg

LOL Sorry it seems that they are no longer selling flowers online. Anyway try this link if you want to see a picture of what I'm talking about.

I love those ranunculus, i will definatly ask about getting them here.

I did a bit of searching for ideas, i found some i like. I don't know what all the flowers are but they are pretty and i can ask a flowerist if they know.

I am al most positive these are tulips which is my favourite. They would be perfect! But if the spring is really warm they will cost more then if it was a cooler spring. So i can't garentee them.
