Hello everyone!! I haven't really posted a lot lately. I do log on every day just to see what exciting things are going on for everyone. I have been such a busy lady lately, it seems like there is not enough hours in the day. Well, I have been working at Smoothie King about 2 months an I was really loving it. Last week they cut my hours well I got a call from Starbucks. I went for the interview and got the job!! I have always wanted to be a barista at Starbucks so I am so happy. I decided to keep both jobs to see how things would work out. Needless to say it is just too much since I have a house and 3 kids to take care of too. DF has a demaniding full time job and he helps out as much as he can. So what do I do? I love both jobs!!!!

if you love them both equally (ie: in terms of what you do, who you work for and who you wrok with)---then i base it on which ever pays best...or who ever can garuntee you the hours (is the smoothie king going to keep cuting ur hours etc...)

Which one has the best benefits? (if any?). Think about what job will benefit you and your family better. If you need to, cut back to 2 days a week at Smoothie King and work as much as you can at Starbucks... just a thought.

I'm working two jobs again too. I'd say either stay with the one that guarantees the hours, or keep both, and work out a set schedule. With a set schedule, you can plan things around that. Good luck, let us know how it works out!

Neko, if you can handle all the physicality of being a costumed interpreter, those jobs really do rock.

Do you have to provide your own period garments? And can you eat the food you prepare, etc?

Whitewater (who does it for a hobby and loves it -- but what I love most is a teeshirt and air conditioning at the end of the day!!!)

Thanks for all the great advice! I think I will end up keeping the job at Starbucks. Not only do i get FREE coffee-but the benefits are great and the pay is more. I will just try and stick it out til just right before the wedding. This extra money is coming in handy!!
