So I was playin around with centerpieces today and came up with a few ideas. Well, Matt shot down all but one - and he said he wanted this one to be THE one... Unfortunately this does not include the milk cans. I couldn't, just couldn't get the milk cans to work out the way I wanted them to.

Here's a few ideas that I was playin with:

This is the final centerpiece that he fell for.. using the chocolate rocks spread out like a wide diamond going the length of about 1/3 of the table, then meeting the second centerpiece diamond. There will be two centerpieces per table, and the chocolate rocks will tie the two together - maybe with a milk can in the middle very middle of the table - but I'm working with a 5' table here at home. I won't know for absolute sure till I have the 8' tables set up.

And the winner is:

I like!

Let me ask you this...I don't know if you've already bought replacement glass vases, but what about taking those cans and wrapping them in gift tissue and a ribbon? I don't know about you, but I'd hate to have those cans go unused, LOL!! :puppy:

Here's a link which shows what I'm talking about. They use mason jars, but I'm sure you use your cans instead:

Very nice table set-up! I really like the way the silverware is displayed now, it stands out in a nice contrast.

I already have 52 of those glass bowls - those were going to be my original centerpieces. When I got the tins I was psyched - but Matt doesn't like the look very much. I do intend to use them in other decor ideas - like maybe on the sill of the barn stall or something. Maybe even using them in the very center of each table between the two glass centerpieces. We'll see. I need an 8' table to set it up exactly. I'll have 2 days before the wedding to decorate the barn, so I'm thinkin I'll just wait till then.

I like it better without the blue fabric. The grass vase and the tin are both great!

I prefer the coloured rocks if you are going to use a black tablecloth.:flower:

Yes, that's what I like about them. I might even get a LOT of them and sort them - get some of the colors out an do just blue and black and gray or something like that. Depends - at $4 a pound it's tuff!
