I finally finished my STDs! :D

Just simple cardstock and regular printer paper cut with decorating scissors, then embellished with faux flowers and (barely visible) rhinestones. (I LOVE craft store sales!) I found a cute wedding cake stamp to use on the envelopes. All in all I think I spent about $10--and that includes the $6 stamp.

I wanted to make sure they had large enough print to accommodate elderly eyes...as most of the intended recipients are over 63.

Hobby Lobby, I believe. They were having a sale on stamps and ink and I just couldn't resist!

Those are really cute! I went to Hobby Lobby today and picked up some paper to start working on an invitation design and I ended up spending over $25 in the scrapbooking area because they had such neat stuff! I might have to steal your stamp idea for the envelopes because that is soooo cute! Was it easy to do? I'm a crafty girl, but never done anything with stamps or scrapbooking so this is all new to me!

Gack! Sorry it took so long to reply! O_o

Yes, it was very easy. :) I just picked a corner and plopped down an inked stamp. Definitely use a contrasting color of ink...and be kinda light on pressure when stamping, as not to get any extra ink to slop the clean lines. I highly suggest testing it on scrap paper first. Good luck! :D

Thanks! I went to Hobby Lobby and checked out their stamps and saw some that were really cute, but nothing that fit my theme just perfect, so I'm still on the hunt. My invites are going to be very earthy tones - brown kraft paper alternated with a pretty green, so I want to carry out those colors in the envelopes if I can too.

Did you see the precious mice stamps that Hobby Lobby had? My favorite had a boy mouse and a girl mouse and they were kissing and their tails were little hearts. It was soooo cute! With your passion for rodents they would be perfect for you!

I like the color and the hearts on top of the wedding cake are always a cute touch.
