My MOH said I should get a wedge but those do not look right with my dress so I picked these out from davids bridal
For the wedding

The first shoes look ok for a garden wedding...I am just not a fan of the thick heel it has...but that is just me! But I LOVE the 2nd shoe...those are great!!

I think they're fine for a garden wedding. At least you won't be sinking in the grass with thicker heels.
The second shoes are cute too!

Those are MY shoes for my outdoor wedding! :) Yeah, I'm also not a huge fan of the thick heel, but they'll be comfortable! I'm debating about getting a second pair for the dinner/reception, but figure who will really see them anyways... so I probably won't. Great choice!!!
I'm getting married on a lawn as well. I think that shoe will be just fine!

The thick heel is very comfortable and you wont sink in the ground ;)
They are not as elegant as the second pair but I think they are better than wedges.
They are beautiful anyway!!

Both shoes are super cute. If you really prefer the pair with the skinny heel, they could certainly be okay for a garden wedding as long as you'll be walking on a sidewalk or other hard surface. They certainly look pretty!
If you'll actually be traipsing through the grass, then it sounds like you've got a perfect solution. Two pretty pairs of shoes!

I think they are both great shoes... the only thing I'd be concerned about is having your dress hemmed (not sure if this is an issue for your dress?); the shoe heels looks like they are different heights so if you have the dress hemmed with one shoe on it might be a little long (or short, if you had it hemmed wearing the shorter heel) in the other shoe.
Does that make sense?

thanks everyone I got my dress altered and both shoes fit fine with the length of the dress. I think there is about 1/4 inch of a difference so it really doesn't matter.
# 2 shoe was of course my first choice and # 1 was something I picked out for the garden portion.
I may even change shoes before the pictures.

I think both shoes are nice; if you are worried about sinking in the grass outside in heels then I think the first ones are fine :frogg: The second pair are of course "sexier"; but I could never wear them ;)

I think you can wear whatever the heck you want! I am doing the opposite of you (I am getting married outside on the grass) and wearing 4 inch stilettos for the ceremony/pics/reception and then changing into wedges for the dance to be comfy (and only if I need to as I adore my stilettos).

The reason being its not a good idea to wear heels during the ceremony is because they sink into the grass and you can trip and fall. Even with a aisle runner I'd be to scared to sink in a fall. Good Luck with that!
