Never seems to be enough to do what we want; hopefully we will get to that retirement in good standing though :sweatdrop:

For everyone that is still in school or just starting out it will be crazy to see how much there income will change in the next couple of years. ALl in good time.

I picked 60,000-80,000.

I am a full time accountant so I usually take home 55,000-60,000 a year, Jacob on the other hand has his own business so it varies. Sometimes he can bring home 3x my paycheck sometimes he brings half my paycheck.

Our household income is a little over $40,000 right now. I'm supporting us (as an Accountant) while he goes to school. He is an Electrical and Computer Engineering research grad student and doesn't make much, but in a couple of years when he gets a job, he'll be starting at least $100,000 and I hope to be making $50,000 by then. Can't wait to have money! We made a vow that once we're rich, we're not going to act all snooty about it. :)

We both make just under 30k a year each. So our household income is around 55k. I should be making much more within the next year since I am finishing grad school and getting my license to practice in counseling. So hopefully our household income will increase to around 80k. That will be better, but it never seems to be enough.

We make about $60,000 combined right now - he brings home about 95% of that though, since my small business doesn't make much $$. We should be going up soon though, since FH has gotten a pretty good lead on a job that would be a significant bump - and it would also mean moving back to Vermont!

So is Vermont as pretty as it sounds? We might be passing through it this August on our way up to Canada.

Right now our combined income is around $47,000 a year. FH is actually due for a raise in April so that will be nice with last minute wedding stuff. I have a full time job working in an office for a large animal supply store (food, vet supplies) but I am also a massage therapist. I would like to eventually have my own clinic but that has to wait until after the wedding to throw myself into that.

Chad is making $38,000 but I don't know what his actual take home is after taxes and insurance, etc. I'm not working right now so that's our total income. He's not making a ton, but he is making so much more than we thought he would be right out of culinary school. Literally a week after he graduated he was promoted from $10/hr cook to salaried kitchen manager. He was verrry lucky, but he worked really hard to get there. He's due for an evaluation and most likely a raise at the end of the summer.

I'll most likely never make more than $40,000. Insurance doesn't cover nutrition education (even though you have to have extensive education to get the degree and nutr education would save the medical industry sooo much money in the long run! :bbmad:) so I'll never make all that much with my degree. It's my passion though so I'm okay with it.

I think it is beautiful - and I have lived in Colorado, Oregon and Washington which are all known for their scenery...But I might be a little biased since that is where my family is! :bblol:

I love that you went ahead and got a degree in something you are passionate about! My degree is in theology for the same reason, not because of the high paying job I would get but because it was something I really wanted to learn about - and FH's degree is in anthropology which is pretty much useless as a career move!

Our combined income per year is $135,000

Both of our base salary's are 60,000 per year but hubby gets bonuses quarterly so it increases to roughly 75,000 yearly....

Not bad at all, but if you look at the cost of living in Massachusetts it's significantly higher...

FH makes 130,000 as a senior programmer here.

I'm a college student, so I make between $4000 and $6000. I CAN'T WAIT to finish up my degrees and catch up with him! My dream is to be a librarian, with a $50,000 or so salary, but I don't know if I'll have the time and the skills to get a MLIS, so I'm just shooting for a bachelor's and a administrative assistant job for now.

Thank you! My interest is in the lowest paying part of the whole industry - community nutrition. Mostly working with impoverished and lower income populations, etc. I'd love to work the food bank or HIV/AIDS nutr education. I have many friends who went to school seeking the higher paying careers and they are not happy. Chad's actually thinking of going back to school in a few years for environmental science.

Theology and anthropology...what an interesting combo! Do either of you plan to do anything with your degrees?

We're right around $60,000 not counting any overtime I get. Overtime will probably push it up another $10K or so (I'm paid for every hour of OT I work - straight time - and most of the year I work a lot of OT).

I think that is a fascinating field! I imagine your classes are really interesting. I have been trying to educate myself more about the "locovore" movement (only eating food that is produced locally) and it is interesting to me that when a community is educated about the benefits they not only get better nutrition, but it stimulates the local economy!

Well, I am in graphic design, and he is a software programmer - so our degrees haven't really made a difference in our career paths. We do have some very interesting dinner conversations though!

We make about 130k combined, but we live in Mass and the cost of living is a lot higher here.

I make in the mid 40's, (plus bonuses, and have great benefits), and he makes 40ish at his regular job, and another $8-9K at his weekend coaching gig.

We make just over $20K combined. I make under $10K. Chris recently got hired in the Menards management program that he can start in May after graduating. Then he'll make about $30K to start, he wants to move all the way up! Woohoo $125K + bonuses baby! Hehe. I wish I had a major that I could actually find a job in around here. I kinda regret it :(. Don't wanna go back, but maybe someday.

We make maybe about 50,000 together, but after taxes that ends up being less than 35,000.
It will be significatly higher once I graduate and pass the bar.

We make around $60,000 combined, before taxes. I'm a teacher, and we all know, teacher or not, how that goes. And Kevin works in a trophy shop and makes about the same as I do.

We make about $70,000 combined. I'm at $25,000/year as a legal assistant and he makes roughly $45,000 as a machinist.

I love love love my job but don't get paid very well for it... I work as a child care teacher for two year olds. Went to school to make only $10 an hour... at least I love my job lol.
Sean makes a little more than $14 ($17 actually) i think. He works for the govt so he makes all our money (and didn't even go to college!)
