Please!! I have plain white favor boxes. they are square. I have lots of different types of ribbon, tulle, and some heart charms that say love on them. I am looking for a way to decorate the boxes to look pretty because they will be doubling as decoration for the tables. My theme is hearts. Colors are red/silver/white. I have seen on one place someone took pretty patterned scrapbook paper and cut with decorative scissors, glued on box and added ribbon and flowers, but I didn't really like the pic. Does anyone have any pics, ideas, websites I might try to look for something? Inside the box I will be putting a small favor bag that is tied with hard candy that I will be making myself. I am open to all ideas and anything you can share would be greatly appreciated!!

I have those same white boxes. I'm wrapping them with alternating pink and brown 5/8" satin ribbon with a bow on top. I made a pink card to attach to the ribbon that says "Hugs & Kisses from the Mr. & Mrs." I'll be lining the boxes with either pink or brown tissue paper and filling them with Hershey hugs/kisses.

I also found a website with 8 different ways to decorate the white favor box.

I have a few ideas I am thinking over.
1.I am thinking of getting different scrapbook patterned paper. Cutting 2 or 3 different sized hearts from different patterns. glue stick them on top of each other then glue to sides of box. Then using the ribbon that I have and tying it around the box like a present and putting a heart charm on it.
2. using the scrapbook paper cut out squares the same as sides of box. using heart punch, punch hearts along the sides and using the ribbon to "sew" on to the box. and have all ends of ribbon meet on top of box to tie a ribbon with charm in middle.

this is what i am thinking of right now. Again I am not sure yet. I might actually have to try it and see what happens. I have some extra boxes so i can play around a little bit. I might do so many boxes one way and so many another way, who knows. I come up with different ideas everyday. FH sometimes rolls his eyes at me because i say i really like this idea and he says tomorrow it will be something different....lol. thanks for the idea. If anyone else has any I'd love to hear them.

I have favor boxes also, but mine are the ones with the little handles. What I'm doing is lining the box with colored tissue paper and putting a program in each box and surrounding them with hershey kisses. I decorated the outside of the boxes with colored labels. One side has the "welcome to las vegas sign" and the other side has a poem relating to Vegas. I think it turned out pretty cute.

I like the idea of punching out heart shapes from the square shapes. An additonal thought on that idea is to make half the boxes with the square and the other half of the boxes with the heart punch. ???

I am forever impressed with the wide array of patterns available in tissue paper and wrapping paper. If you have a Papyrus store near you, duck in for a minute or two. They have so many ideas!!!!

Also...using different textures of ribbon creates a very nice effect on packages. The variety keeps things interesting and can create any kind of "look" you're going for.

Good luck!!!

We are doing shot glasses as my daughters thank you gift, they fit real nice in the little box, I ordered a custom stamp from ebay for $7 with their name and date on it. We stamped in with red embossing powder made a circle alittle bigger than the stamp and tied with ribbon they came out really cute, if I ever figure out how to post a picture I will get it posted.

We used the exact same boxes. Found some feather/thread-type paper and ripped it into strips. Used that a lot like a ribbon. Didn't take too long and worked out nicely.
