FH leaves to testify in the trial Sunday. He'll be flying into Houston and then to Louisiana. He received his itinerary from the DA yesterday, and I'm welcome to come for moral support as long as I can find travel arrangements.

There is ONE seat left on the plane to Houston--for $918. It was $860 last night...

My dad flies to Houston several times a year, and I called him to see if he normally went through the airline web site. He told me I'd owe him and that he'd get back to me this afternoon with good news hopefully.

Originally, he said he'd help with my ticket, but I would never ask him to pay THIS much. Apparently, now, he's trying to book my ticket after looking over some things...

Please keep your fingers crossed that we can find a way for me to go with FH and book THIS flight. (I've only flown a couple times and would pretty much be lost if I had to fly alone!)

I can't believe how outrageous flight prices are right now. I'd pretty much resigned myself to the fact that I was not going to be able to go with him, but now that my dad is helping out, despite the price, my hopes are up again, and I'm desperate to get this last seat. I feel like this is something I really need to be there for.

My dad checked and there is no way he can get a cheaper price on this flight. If the DA didn't have to wait until the last minute to arrange travel for FH, I could've gotten my ticket for almost half the price it is now. The trial was originally supposed to be the first week of March but was postponed. They had to wait until now to make sure the trial would not be postponed again, so I know it's not the DA's fault, but it's still frustrating. LOL

Hopefully, my dad will have some good news for me in a little while...

My dad totally came through on this! I know he doesn't have the money for this (and I never expected him to pay for my ticket after finding out how much it would be) but he booked my flight a few minutes ago!

I'm so relieved that I can go. Being there for this is extremely important to me, and I'm so glad that I can be there for FH as he has to relive this nightmare all over again.
