Ouch, Heather!! Have you gone to the doctor yet?

Did you know that Amber almost broke her ankle last night? Her foot was asleep and she misjudged her step and heard a crack. Jason made her move it and it doesn't look like it is broken, just extremely swollen!!

OOHH!! I have done that, and it isn't much fun.

No I haven't had it checked. I at the present time, dont have insurance ( for the fist time EVER). It bent my nail back and my finger is swollen, but I can move it. I just think if it is a break, it's a hairline, since I can still move it.

Did you know you need to marry Josh so you can get insured? Maybe just tape it up so that you can't move it and hurt it more. I'm sorry, Heather, I know that must really hurt!!

Did you know that J has mentioned before that we could just run to a JP to get married, have the 'ceremony' as sched, and no one will know the difference?? My response, I haven't done anything in a traditional way since I became an adult, my wedding will be traditional.

And thanks Karen, I am just being careful w it, it should be fine.

How is Amber's ankle today?

Good for you, Heather! Just stay healthy!!

Did you know that Amber says it's sore but bearable? She just feels so clumsy now. Poor thing!

Did you know that I like YOU to much to do that to you. I wouldnt wish these little demons on ANYBODY!!!!!
The sad part is they arent trying to do anything wrong or make messes, they just are. Especially the 5 year old. My daughter was cleaning the bathroom earlier and she goes out so he can use it. Well he got the entire can of comet and sprinkled the entire bathroom with it.:bbeek: He was helping Emmy clean. Of course my daughter had a fit!!! He also decided to "feed the kitty" and preceded to pour a 5 lb bag of cat food in the floor.

Did you know Brandi, I honor your decision not to have kids? Because....well you believe you couldnt do it. Whether you really could or not isnt even an issue. Its the fact you dont want to take that chance. You know you better than anyone else. What hurts me the people that kinda know they cant handle kids already, but thinking they will change after having their own and finding out they cant handle it after all.
As frustrated as I am at mine right now, all it takes is a smile and/or an I Love you Mommy and it all goes away. There are way more good times than there are these frustrating ones.

And let me tell you, after how much I have been sneezing today, I could definatly use the extra boxes of tissues!

Did you know that yep, they say that you should do your laundry, use your dishwasher, etc. before 9 am, after 9 pm or on weekends becuase it's cheaper.

Did you also know that I can say it helps. My electric bill was $136.00 last month, and that is w the air running 24-7 in a 2000 sq ft house. Of course, we do have a gas water heater, and keep the air at about 80 degrees. But we also keep the house a bit darker to keep it cool. And w the house facing south, it helps quite a bit too.

In Phoenix, Arizona (think blazing desert), because there is such a demand for electricity during peak period hours, they lower their rates for people who will decide to use their electricity during off peak hours. Also, our electricity is cheaper after 9pm on the weekdays duing off-peak hours. Actually it doesn't really suck, because you learn to not use it as much during peak periods and that way you save money.

Did you know that is an excellent electric bill, Heather? Mine was $85 and my condo is 1000 sq ft. I keep it at 85 during the week, and lower it to 80 during the weekend. My electricity bill has been as high as $225 during August of last year. My sister's was $400 one month. What's your highest, Heather?

What I like is that I can set a delay function on my dishwasher, and have it set to start in 2, 4, or 6 hours, so I don't have to remember to get up and turn it on at night!!!! We leave the ac at 80, and use the ceiling fans. It really helps, and the kids even say they get cold sometimes. Our house stays pretty cools. I LOVE IT!!!

lol wonder how long it will take the gas company here to think that up! In the winter it can get nasty cold, I'm suprised they aren't punishing us for living in the north and having cold weather by upping the gas bill like that! lol

Did you know that's why no one place is really perfect? lol You have your summers, and we have our winters. Our winters are usually 60 to 80 degrees during the whole winter. But we have to go through our summers to get to our winters, and the summers are usually 110 to 115 degrees.

I have a bad habit of not folding the clothes either. A lot of times, I will forget the last load is even in the dryer!!!!!
I do that too  I washed a load today and they are sitting on my bed waiting to be out away.

Did you know that every room in my house has a ceiling fan? They make all the difference in the world!! I love to be cool, but I hate to be cold!!
We have fans in every room also ... I also like to be cool, but hate to be cold. DH usually likes the house colder than me though, I keep throw blankets on the couch to snuggle with the dogs at night ;)

Did you know that I haven't seen the movie and don't intend to. That movie has brought more deragatory and offensive comments to Eric and I and our friends than I care to deal with. I do not pass judgement on anyone for their lifestyle choices and therefore expect the same from others. Until that movie came out my truck with the lettering on the back window "My Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys" and Eric's cowboy hat/event buckles and boots were never a problem...now that the movie came out it's a different story...that movie may be a wonderful love story, superbly written and very interesing but to me it's a source of angst. We went to an ARHA World Show this weekend and on the way in some idiotic local teens came into the parking lot and we're making deragatory comments...not the smartest thing to do when you're surrounded by over 1,000 cowboys and cowgirls. My point is... (then I will step down off the old soap box) that until the whole world can view "alternative lifestyle choices" with intelligence and tolerance there will always be the uneductated fools out there who have to take expressions of art (such as this movie) or any other form of expression and twist them around until they become repulsive and aggravating. I don't care who is a gay cowboy, a gay athlete, or a gay whatever (and homosexuality is in all walks of life) I just don't like it when the homophobics of the world heckle me and my cowboy over a movie they don't understand.

Did you know Matthew and I watched Broke Backmountain and HATED it. We couldn't even understand why it was nominated for ANYTHING. (lol) We found it choppy and poorly written. And I feel the same way Ellen does. We went to the Costco of all places and there was actually a father, mother and teenage son making ignorant comments about country folk right infront of us. (and most likely at us) If they couldn't tell, we are VERY country. These people could really use a good kick in the head!! I don't mind like Ellen said, that if people could watch it and say "oh yea, that's a movie" and not them go on to compare ALL cowboys to it, that would have probably made the movie easier to stomach. But from the minute we started watching it, we both knew that it would knock cowboys back a few generations! Ignorance is bliss I suppose! And I agree Ellen, having that removed from your truck is just letting them win!!

I know that is what people do. It just irritates me to no end! I have an uncle who is gay. I have no problem with them. Period. But then when people see a movie about gays and they are a certain "type" of person, they just assume the rest are that way. I am one of those people who thinks "to each their own". If you choose to live your life a certain way, I am not going to pass any kind of judgement. That is not my job. Only God can judge. People need to grow up and accept that not everyone in society is going to be just like them. We all have to live together in this world. We are all humans with feelings and that will never change. Perhaps if parents would better educate their children on the way the world REALLY is instead of sheltering them their whole life, this would not be such as issue.

Did you know that I just have to put in my two cents about the Broke Back Mountain movie ... I haven't seen it and don't really care too (not because of the gay thing but just cause it isn't the kind of movie I like to watch)

But I have heard the slack on both sides about it. Cindy mentioned something about how the men in the movie cheated on their wives so years ... I think the point here is that the lifestyle is so persecuted that people feel they have to hide and pretend to be something they are not to 'fit in' and it is many people can be hurt in the process.

I have friends that are gay and while I'm not gay and could never imagine myself being so, I am not one to judge how another person feels, it is not my place. Like 'brewsells' said, it is God's place to judge us all.

My mother likes to say "oh but the kids don't understand and don't need to be exposed to that" No young kids shouldn't see ppl making out in public (straight or gay) but ppl need to teach their kids acceptance and tolerance and love for others, not hate and discrimination just because someone is different. Yes, kids can be impressionalble but just because they know someone that might be gay doesn't mean they will be gay! And yes, kids can be cruel sometimes but I think this is a learned behavior.

OK, I am getting off my 'soap box' now ;)

LOL did you know that I am finally thinking in Celcius instead of Fahrenheit? All Canadians really need to know is that 0C is cold (don't stick your tongue on a metal fence), -20C is frickin cold (stay inside, snuggle up and just remember that the summer months will bring temps in the 30's!) .

*side rant* **** school system .... I was in school "back in the day" when they were teaching Imperial measures, Farenheit temps and speed in MPH. Then they switched everything to metric just after I graduated!

I have slowly been converted but I still buy my lunch meats by the pound and NOT by multiples of 454 grams. My first born weighed 8lbs. 14 oz. and I am proud to say that I have no idea what that is converted to kilos and grams :p

I wonder why Americans haven't jumped on the metric band wagon. I mean, aren't we the only country that hasn't changed. We are rebels that way! LOL!! I think it might be the cost of having to change all our signs. I mean it's speed limits, kitchen utinsel measurements, gas, tape measures, etc. It would cost a fortune to change all of those out. And the fact that we would have to start educating everyone on the new system. That didn't happen for us in school, and I haven't seen it happening in anything at all in my life. So I don't think I will ever have to change before I die. I have absolutely no idea how to convert any of it. It's Greek to me when anyone starts talking about celcius or kilometers! I just think it's funny that we haven't been forced to change here in America.

I can do conversions. I just have to look up the formulas if I haven't used them lately for Celcius to Farenhiet. I can also tranfer temps into Kelvins. In Chemistry we use the metric system. Some I have memorized like 1 inch is 2.54 cm.

We move them up on 4 wheelers into the pen and sort them by hand (on foot with a stick and a cattle prode (hot shot) then we put about 5-6 into the barn at a time, run one thru the chute, catch the head, give the shot, apply the wormer, doctor for pink eye if needed, spray with fly spray and put a new fly tag in the left ear, and replace the right ID ear tag if needed. Oh did I mention...get kicked, get slapped in the face with a poop covered tail get stomped if they are charolais and we don't move fast enough and then we get to put tags on the new calves (how I got hurt, i threw one to the ground and pulled something in my back). We do it once a year...I'll give ya a call LOL!

Did you know that "hitchhiker's thumb" is actually genetic and it's the deformity? The thumb IS supposed to stick straight up. I read something once that said the hitchhiker's gene came from way back when the first homo - whateverness developed opposing thumbs. They figure they kept breaking them which caused the extra curve. So you're sister got genes from a homo - whateverness that was smart enough not to break his new opposing thumb! :)

Did you know that she is my grandmother 12 generations back. The story tells that she went back to England w John Smith. It doesn't go past that. Well, she actually married another fella, can't remember his name right now, but he is one of my ancestors, which makes her one too!!!!

I just saw the whole story about it, and it showed the actual Pocahontas and everything. How she was thrown out of her tribe, and acclimated to our ways. She seemed very sweet too, just like you, Heather! LOL!! That's the coolest thing I ever heard! Congratulations!! You should be very proud of that heritage. http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_17_4.gif (http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb001_ZNxdm824YYUS)

Did you know my DH had never had a cold sore. I heard that once you get one you will have them off and on for the rest of your life. I try to put stuff on it when I see the first sign of one and hope it won't be too bad. I really hate those things. The one I just got over was the first one in a couple of years for me.

Did you also know that my fave Edmonton station was making fun of Calgarians for going to the Stampede. Did you know that I am disappointed in the Tops In Texas Rodeo this year? Right now in my home town of Jacksonville they are having rodeo week with all kinds of stuff, street dance, parade, and 4 nights of rodeo action. Usually one night they will have someone well known. We have had Garth Brooks, Blake Shelton, Neil McCoy, LeAnn Womack Mark Chestnut, etc. And they usually have one up and coming newbie. This year they really arent having squat. The only to names I recognized (couldnt name a song they sing, but recognized the names) Was Buddy Jewel and Hot Apple Pie. I dont know that Im going to drive an hour over there to go this year!!!!
