Hi everyone! I have sad little toenails that always looked cracked and open-toed shoes for my wedding, but I have been hesitant to get a pedicure. I've never gone to a place that does them before! Have any of you gotten pedicures before? Any advice regarding pedicures for me?
Thank you!

I love to get pedicures; I used to get them every 2-3 weeks. Now I only do it about every 2-3 months.
I love the spa pedicure where you soak your feet and they rub and massage your feet and calves and all. Some places will use a razor thing to scrape off the tough skin from your heels, some places just use lotion and a pumice stone.
I think I need to go get a mani/pedi this weekend :D

I work in a salon/spa and I absolutely love pedis! If you want your feet feeling extra soft, see if they have a paraffin dip option.:bbmrgreen:

They Are Awesome, I Just Had One This Past Weekend, I Have Itty Bitty Toes So I Dont Like For Them To Cut My Toe Nails I Ask Them To Just File Them Down... Feels So Nice. And You Feel Oh So Pretty When You Leave... Make Sure You Wear Flip Flops When You Go.

I get them every other week during the summertime. They are so nice! I love the sea salt massage.

pedicures are the best! find a place that has a manicure/pedicure discount. and for the wedding definitely get a spa pedicure-- soo worth it!

Oh I get pedis all the time (more often in Spring and Summer). Once you try it, you'll wonder why you waited so long. It's very relaxing, and it's an hour of "YOU" time.
Ask around, friends, etc... for a referral to a good salon.

Pedicures always tickle my feet! I am always trying my best to not laugh in front of the lady whose most personal statement to me so far has been "you pick color..." :bblol:
Anyway, I got a mani/pedi for my shower last weekend, and I'll get another one for the wedding. And if you bring in your own nail polish, you can do your own touch ups in between visits.

The salon I go to is very reasonable...$20 for a pedi plus $5 for the tip. Being a single mom for so long, I never experienced how awesome this is until meeting my FH! Now I can pamper myself about every 3 weeks. It is definitely worth every penny. :star::star::star::star:

Ahh.. that doesn't sound so bad!! i always feel bad spending money like that on myself, when theres really nothing to show for it later.. i don't know if i'm sounding crazy, lol!! they do have these massage things in the mall though, i will go to one if i've had to lift a lot of waters during the week and i have a knot i can't get out or something.. =/

I've only gotten one pedicure, the day I graduated high school. I have super tiny toenails so I had to beg the guy to stop filing them for me, hehe. But then that night we had a lock-in at our school and they had a bunch of blow up obstacle courses and stuff where you couldn't wear shoes, and the nailpolish got completely destroyed! I was so bummed out. I'll probably get one before the wedding, but without a good occasion I'm just too cheap.

I agree 100% - I do NOT like feet so the thought of someone touching them really grossed me out. Before my vacation a few years ago my sister-in-law dragged me out for one and let me tell you - I am so addicted - I get it done every 2-3 weeks. Plus, they massage my legs - soooo relaxing.
I have never had a pedi. I did get a gift card from my parents at Christmas for one, but I will use it closer to the wedding. I am looking forward to that! Though the thoughts of someone touching my toes makes me sick! (Must be a bad childhood experience with my brother doing the chinese toe hold on them and dragging me around the house!)

Thanks for the advice, girls! I actually was thinking about going to the salon/spa beauty school that's right next door to my science classes! It's really reputable. A bunch of my friends get their hair cut there, and they look awesome! I'm told that their pedis are by appointment only and subject to availability, so I'll call to ask for more details.
