So, my fiance and I are looking for something to make our kiss at the ceremony extra special! We are having an outdoor wedding in a garden at an historic museum. The ceremony is at around 4:00 in July so it will still be light out. We have seen doing fireworks but in RI where we are getting married, they are illegal unless we want to insure up to like a million dollars or something crazy like that. Obviously out of the question. We also can't do the confetti that flutters down so nicely because the museum is worried about it getting into neighbors yards. We also don't want to do butterfly or dove releases.

So, aside from those ideas, has anyone seen something else fun and unique for the big kiss? Thanks!

Or how about just keeping the focus on the kiss itself! Practice before hand and maybe he can dip you and kiss you!

Me too!!! That was one thing me and Brandon really wanted to do b/c I hate it when the minister says, "You may now kiss the bride" and couples do this embarassing peck thing... I WANT SOME DRAMA for my first kiss!!

Most definately, I want some really good pictures of our first kiss as husband and wife... I want some dramatic ones and goofy ones... my only problem is I am extremely shy and uncomfortable when it comes to PDA type things....:purplex:

lol me too! we've talked a little about how we want our first kiss to be....he always kids and says he's gonna hoist me up and spin around, I'm like yea and knock all the BM & GM & FG over in the process.

We didn't have a "big kiss" plan, in fact, we never even thought to talk about it. But, when the Pastor told Joe that he could kiss is bride, he said (loudly enough for most people in the church to hear) "Alllllright!". It was sooo funny, everyone laughed and we kissed. It was great!

haha... FH is a foot taller than me, so right when our officiant says "you can kiss each other" my best friend is going to pull a stepstool out from under her chair and put it down, I'll step up so we're almost eye to eye for our first kiss! :bblol: I think everyone will get a kick out of it!

FH made the stepstool, painted it white, and afterwards, I'm going to write "Kristina and Kevin - July 19, 2008" on it as kind of a momento.

Didn't Trista and Ryan hand their guests wands with pink ribbons on them? I've seen a thread on that around here somewhere... I can't wait to do the dip! Brian's been practicing for over a year now, but thinks he'll chicken out for the big moment. He'll probably pull it out at the head table during dinner! But I HOPE he does it for the ceremony!!!!!

I think that would be cool, too, just doing a dip kiss. We were one of those couples who did a boring peck, except that Stephen leaned in for another kiss and I didn't so everybody laughed at him, poor thing! I'm just really shy about that kind of stuff, I guess. LOL it was funny though!

When the pastor said you may now kiss your bride I just thought I would get a peck. Wrong! I got a peck then another kiss and then as RC's hand kept traveling down my back and ended up on my butt giving a squeeze I seem to have forgotten that there were people present, a video camera, and went to town on him. Sigh don't you just love tonsil hockey!:bblol: LOL. My mother was embaressed! She actually said I thought you knew better.

i'm so glad u said that...i'm showing this to my fiance and my pastors! lol i hate pda! i don't even hold hands with him if we see people we know...especially family! lol

I like the dip kiss too. I am so nervous about the kiss part. First there will be alot of people watching. I dont want to do an akward peck thing, but dont want to make out either. Every wedding I have been too and all the ones i have seen on tv they always look soo akward. We will definatly be practicing.
