I pretty much like anything chocolate and all the minis that come out for the holiday. I can't really think of anything that is only our for Easter that I like though; I hate those Peeps :p

Ohhhhhhhhhhh DH brought me a little Lindor egg last night. It was wonderful but he's spoiled everything now. I don't think I can ever go back to the plain mini eggs .... LOL

Yummmmmmmmmm!!!!!!!!!!!!

I also like homemade eggs that the "church ladies" make. They are similar to Laura Secord Cream eggs - http://www.laurasecord.ca/seasonal.php

The inside isn't "flowing" but solid. The whole thing is solid and can be sliced, like a hard boiled egg.

http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/214YDTZBMVL._AA160_.jpg

These delicious cream filled eggs taste just like a very famous store bought one. They are easy to make and kids and adults love them.

Ingredients:
1 cup soft butter
2 tsp salt
4 tsp vanilla
1 can condensed milk (Eagle Brand)
10 cups icing sugar
1 tsp. yellow food coloring
1 lb. semi-sweet chocolate

Method:
Beat butter, salt and vanilla until fluffy. Add milk, beat in sugar. Blend until stiff. Dust with brown sugar. Knead til smooth.

Set aside more then 2/3 of mixture. To the remaining mixture add yellow food coloring. Blend in well. Divde yellow and white into 16 or 24 pieces. Shape yellow into ball, mold white around yellow to form an egg shape. Dry at room temperature on paper towels for 24 hours.

Melt chocolate in double boiler or in microwave until smooth. Dip eggs in chocolate. (parafin wax may be added and melted with chocolate to prevent chocolate from melting in your hands). Once dipped cool at room temperature. Refrigerate after cool.

When sliced these eggs will have a white cream filling with a yellow filling that appears to be the yolk. They look nice sitting in an Easter basket!!

Ooo, I forgot about Peeps! I like to let them get a little stale so they are chewy to eat and not so soft. I'm weird I know.

Peeps are fantasic to play with :) But I find the sugar and marshmallow combo a little much. Have any of you guys ever seen Lord of the Peeps online? Google it, you'll be glad you did.

I like the cadbury carmel eggs ok, I've never really been into candy -- once I got into my teens my tastes changed, or something, and candy just doesn't do it for me anymore.

Although, I do like fine chocolate -- and the darker the better!

Not sure if I mentioned this before, but what I'm going to do is go through the candy with my mom and pick out all the blue, black and white candies and that way she can give the rest of the candy for easter baskets, and I can have some color coordinated candy for my buffet :)
