Anyone else use Pandora (http://www.pandora.com/) or Slacker (http://www.slacker.com/) to listen to music while on the computer?

I am sure there are more similar sites, but these are the only ones I am familiar with. Do share if you know of something else :D

I use Last.fm sometimes, but mostly I just use it to track my mp3s.

Ya know I never even think of listening to the radio on the computer. I really should start doing that.

I have discovered lots of new music I liked this way :D

I have been getting tired of Pandora lately cause they play the same songs over and over; I have been listing to Slacker the last couple of days and it is pretty cool too. DH likes Slacker but has never used Pandora.

I've heard of Pandora before, but not sure what it is. I listen to Live365.com at work alll the time. Since I don't have to talk on the phones, I get to wear head phones :)

I'm actually a DJ for an internet heavy metal Radio Station. We have heavy metal going 24/7 with several djs dating over the stream and doing shows that are all fun and different. And if you come into a chat room doing a time a DJ is doing a show you usually may be able to make a live request. This is however is a purely heavy metal radio station, but you can hear so many new bands that you have never heard before on it. And you can use any of your music player that you already have installed to listen to the stream.
the website is

I've heard of Pandora before, but not sure what it is.Well that is why I linked to it silly ;) :p

I just checked out the site you posted and it seems that Pandora is easier to use and has no voice ads. I like it because you just put in bands or songs you like and it plays them as well as similar ones. But for me lately it has been playing alot of the same songs (on my like list, but still) and so I checked out Slacker.

Slacker is basically the same; it has some comedy channels too which is cool

I'm a dork:upsidown:. I had heard that it was blocked by our servers, but now it's not. No voice overs huh? I'm gonna try it out!

I love Pandora. The secret to getting it to play different stuff is to add a BUNCH of different stations (I have 20+), and then use the Quick Mix. I've been listening pretty much daily for over a year and I'm not sick of it yet.

Alright, so far I love Pandora! I couldn't skip songs on Live365... and in Pandora I can skip over songs I think are played out. So far I've only listened for about 3 hours though.

Yeah I like the skip feature too, but they only let you skip so many per hour. Then you have to switch to another staition; Slacker is pretty much the same way.

We have iTune on our computer, thisis how we purchase songs and videos wehn we want them. It also has a radio feature. We click on what type of music and then a list comes up under that type of a bunch of differnt ones liek for say counrty that I listen to all the time. I click on country and alist come up that has classic, today, etc. I like it and no adds either.
