Driving to Florida tomorrow

So today at about 3:30 we learned that we will be driving to Florida well starting tonight. We are driving 2 hours south of home to my parents house tonight (like in a few mins) and tomorrow morning, starting around 3am we will be headed to Orlando, FL. It is about a 15 hour drive from my parents house.

We are going there for a job interview. They want us to come down this week, but they just told us that they aren't able to pay for it (it is for a private boarding school). So with such short notice and it being spring break time, flights to Florida will run us about $1000 for the two of us. So we are driving, it will only cost about $400 in gas and they are putting us up in an apartment while there, and plus my uncle lives in town.

So I will be away for the next couple of days. Please pray for us in this interview. We really want the job and there are other candidates they are considering. We also don't want to waste this time and money going down there, so we checked to make sure they are seriously considering us (and they said they are) so we are just hoping for the job.

Hey girls, I just wanted to pop in and let you know that we made it here safely after the long total drive. We got in last night. We left at 3am and got here around 6:45pm. It's amazing outside here :) Our interview isn't until 11am on Friday, so we are just hanging out enjoying the weather and the area and then we will drive back on Sat.

Well that does sound like a great road trip!! I love going on road trips with my DH because it is a great time for us to sit and talk about stuff we don't have time for during the week!! Good luck on your trip and with the interview and I hope that you return home safe and sound!!

We have made it back in one piece! It certainly is a long drive, 17 hours total from Orlando to where we live. We did it in two sets on the way back though. We left Orlando at about 4pm after our interview (which was from 11am-4pm) and we drove through Atlanta and stopped just after Atlanta at about 11:30 and stayed at a hotel and then got up early today and drove the rest of the way.

I'm pretty tired though so we are going to bed soon, I'll write more about how things went tomorrow or Monday (since tomorrow is Easter) and give you some pictures to look at :)

It was beautiful weather this last week (even with the rain it was still breezy and nice) :) Hope all went well. We live in south florida and will most likely be moving to central fla (orlando area) next yr. Is the job in actual orlando or is it in altamonte or kissimee or another closeby area?

The actual town is called Montverde. The boarding school is pretty much the town though. It is right in between Lake Apopka and Lake Florence. It is about 30 mins west of Orlando.

It looks very pretty and inviting! Seeing the pictures of Disney made me sooo want to be on my honeymoon again! I wanted to make a rice krispie, but we ran out of time. They look yummy, though! When should you guys hear something?
