Just curious if anyone's made their garter, and if so, how they've done it and how they've turned out?

I'm in a crunch. Wondering if I should do a truck theme garter (Ford of course :D ) or if I should totally surprise Matt and do a Raiders garter. Hmmm...

TIA!

I was gonna say there is some thread on here where someone made one! You can do one that is ford and the toss one a raiders one?!?

Alright, so I accidently left Matt's camera at work last night, so I couldn't get in progress pictures, but here's my garter. I think I'll make the toss garter smaller, but this is the one that I'm gonna wear. It might be a little loose (made it a lil big), but I am planning on somehow sticking it up anyway, maybe using hairspray or something...??

Yes, I had to hand stitch it cuz I didn't have a sewing machine, but I did make this one :) Im gonna try to get step by step procedures with the next one.

Well, I wasn't sure how I was going to get the scrunch either... but I just started putting it together and it worked.

I made the entire thing before I put the elastic in it... then I pulled the elastic tight and sewed the ends off, then I closed the 'tube' - that's how the scrunch happened! I'll take more pics when I make the toss garter with step by step procedures :)

You could always use that tape that's used to keep dresses, bra straps, etc where they go.

A bit slow in moving them over so I'm not sure if they'll be helpful now, but I had these up in another thread :)

I'm not sure I'm quite brave enough to go through with making my own though. Not sure I could get it just how I want it! I might get them from an e-bay seller.

I have patience, and can hand sew, my issue is that I'm a visual learner. It's hard for me to just read the directions and not see like EACH step pictured well, heh.

I'm sorry, I wasn't trying to be rude... I will do step by step instructions when I make the second one - which is going to be almost the same as the first.

Hehe, no worries, I didn't take it as rude in the least! :)
