we are doing fortune cookies as part of of dessert buffet and was wondering what are you ideas for some one liner sayings to put in them. romantic and funny ones are both good. i will post some ideas once i think of some lol... i will also post the recipie for the cookies we are doing so if anyone else is interested in the idea.

heres the recipe


Fortune Cookie Favours
Makes 50 cookies-stores up for a week in air tight container.
· 5 tbsp unsalted butter
· 4 large egg whites
· 3 tbsp heavy cream
· 3 tbsp Dutch cocoa
· ½ tsp pure vanilla extract
· ½ tsp pure almond extract
· 1 c superfine sugar
· ¾ c plus 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
· Pinch of salt
· 50 paper fortunes

1. Heat oven to 400 degrees. In small saucepan over low heat, melt butter; set aside.
2. In bowl combine egg whites and sugar beat on medium until frothy, about 30 seconds. Add flour, cocoa and salt, beat until combined. Add melted butter cream and almond and vanilla extract; beat until combined.
3. On a non-stick pan drop a heaping tsp of batter, using back of spoon make into flat circle about 4 inches wide. Place pan in oven for about 5 minutes.
4. Working fast, slide offset spatula under cookie; flip over. Roll cookie into lose tube; insert paper into middle so edges extend from cookie. Using index finger , make indent in center of tube; pinch each end together with other hand, repeat with remaining cookies.

One question... it says "slide offset spatula under cookie..." Is offset spatula a particular kind of spatula?

umm i think its a normal one lol i think anything that lifts them up will do just fine.
