And so I return safely to Georgia after a long trip to NY LOL

We were suppose to leave Friday at 9:30pm for NY and it so happens that our flight gets canceled. :-/ I was so PO'ed so on the way back to the car I said lets drive there? So what did us crazy kids do? We drove 15 hours to Rochester, NY!!

and about the last 5 hours we were in a snow storm and since my G35 is rear wheel drive and had summer tires it was quiet an adventure!!

But the weekend ended well even though I am tired as **** and took an extra day off from work (Monday) we drove back Monday because the snow started to melt then.

We put a deposit and reserved the wedding ceremony location and reception. OMG I love the ceremony location. It's a cute Mansion in canandaigua that we rented out (we got the whole mansion to ourselves for 3 days!!) . We also reserved all the rooms at a discounted rate for our out of town guest. The house has a walk way right into the garden in which is where we are getting married.

Before that ceremony the Vietnamese ceremony will be held in the house with a buffet. It's the perfect location for both ceremonies and Beautiful!!

BEWARE! I will be asking lots of questions now we got the main locations set! I just need to decorate and have no clue! Plus I've added another brides maid!

Check out all the snow!

I live in Rochester, NY and this past weekend was probably the worst weather we've had so far this year. I just drove across town on Saturday and was stressed. I can't imagine how you felt driving 15 hours!! Where did you end up booking in Canandaigua? That's such a beautiful area. I thought about getting married on the lake there, but my brother was married there last year and I wanted my own special place. Let me know if you need any referrals for local vendors.

we ended up booking a place in Newark, NY which is close to Canandaigua.

Right now the place we are booking from is giving us all their vendor referrals but thank you. I think the only thing I am having trouble with is the cake decorator. Since the reception is in Rochester I need something a little closer.
