I'm torn right down the middle with my color choice and so is my fiance'. Perhaps someone could help me narrow things down a bit. We are having our reception at a country club, everything in it is a neutral color. carpets are a very light beige, woodwork is light on the dance floor, and there are two stone fireplaces on each side. The colors schemes I like are the following.
#1 Turquiose (BRIGHT), White, and Silver -turquoise bridesmaid dresses
#2 Coral, pink, chocolate, peach and a hint of lime in the linens. - coral and/or pink bridesmaid dresses.
THe wedding is in August and I am having a butterfly theme. I love both ideas but I dont want to incoporate them all together either. Anyone have any suggestions?? Everyone I ask says there both so nice and great for august..Which doesn't help me much... Just don't know which way to go on this one!
thanks

Ok.....considering MY colors are opal and turquoise, Im going to be partial to #1, but my reasons are that I saw soooo much stuff in the turquoise color with butterflies. It turned out being a good wedding color. I have also seen variations with purple and green that were really pretty.

I like the number 1 choice as well.

I really like #1.
I saw a beautiful ad using teal white and black in the most recent brides magazine.
With silver insted it would be really clean and classy looking!
I agree with everyone as well. I think the turquiose, white & silver will look very classy and elegant. Blue (any variation of it) is my favourite colour, so I am partial to choosing turquiose!!!! Hope we helped! Let us know what you decide!

I think that you could have it all. Pink bridesmaids dresses, Turquoise ties on the guys, and ribbons on the bouquets. Coral/Peach/white in the flowers, and Chocolate/Lime linens. You can have touches of silver all over.
I think that whatever you decide will work, though.

I like both ideas ... If I had to chose I would go with #2. For a fall wedding having a bright accented by neutrals is really nice.
You could also go with Turquoise and Coral, that would go good together too. I think Carrie's (Carlo'sHoney) idea to use all the colors could work too.
:goodluck:
Congrats and Welcome to the board by the way ;)

After reading some of the other posts i got thinking that brown and teal with the silver accents would be really nice! Especailly if you want to have a more casual wedding all the guys could wear brown tuxes or suits with a teal tie. then the girls could wear teal dresses possibly with a brown sash arround their waists. Then with white flowers. Then for your and your groom you could have the peach/coral flowers.
Just a little thought.

Everytime I see a pic of a wedding with that coral orange color I am just wowed. I think it is such an amazing color for a wedding. Unique. This picture did it for me:

#2 Coral, pink, chocolate, peach and a hint of lime in the linens. - coral and/or pink bridesmaid dresses.
This pallet gets my vote. I think it will go well with the neutral colors of the venue. Good luck making a decision!

I saved myself the hassle and I am having all 6 of my girls wearing a different color. the colors of the rainbow just toned down a little. almost pastels except for the pink it's more of a fushia. And it is incorparated in the decorations as well. I went all out but not so bad it will look like a rianbow exploded.

Since you're having a butterfly theme, I would go with the Turqoisse setup but I would add the chocolate to the Turquoise, white and silver so you can have a dark to go with all of the brightness, something to balance it out. Now if you could give me your opinion I would really asppreciate it. Actually if anyone who reads this cold give me their opinion, I would appreciate it! I am having a fall themed wedding on October 7, this year. I am down to 2 bridesmaids dresses, which do you like better...

I have to say I like the one from Davids (dress B)......kinda funny.....I was looking at the first one (Dress A - the Alfred Angelo) and was thinking it was pretty but IMO it would look better if the color was a little darker and it had a scarf instead of gloves. Then I open the one from Davids Bridal and thought "ask and you shall receive!"

Thank you so much for the great, great ideas.....This is by far the best massage board and chat I have encountered yet!!!!
We haven't made a definate decision on it quite yet...I think I will make my decision after seeing what flowers I want and what not...I loved all the ideas!!! I'm leaning towards the turquoise, white, silver, and brown. Thanks for the idea of adding brown!!! Since its an evening wedding and I am going to have tons of candelight I think this will probably end up being my choice. PLus, my bridesmaids are not keen on wearing any shade of pink whatsoever and my fiance wants his groomsmen to wear black tuxes and no pink ties LOL..I think the pink ties would look awesome, but its a guy thing!! I like the idea of incorporating pink flowers though with the turquiose bridesmaid dresses. NOt quite sure yet how or what shades but I got plenty of time..Once again thank you so much everyone...Ya'll are the best!!

I like dress b. it's simple and elegant, and I'm not a big fan of bows...Thats me..Did you chacke with your bridesmaids?? What do they like....Heck you could even use both...Have your maid/matron(s) of honor wear one style and you bridesmaids wear the other...You could get the shaw and gloves and use with both styles...Hope this helps!
