We did drive through Atlanta. But we kept driving and stayed the night in Macon. Sadly (well actually its a good thing) Matt didn't get to experience the crazy Atlanta must drive 90 to not get ran over traffic because we went through it at like 9pm on a Sunday night. He got lucky :) I've rode through it when it was awful!

I'm from the west side of Indy, just about 15 minutes from the Indy Speedway. I get to drive past there every morning and every night on my drive to and from work! I'm getting so excited because the race is only a little more than 2 months away!:kap:(if only the "flag" was checkered!)

I went to Avon, don't know if you've heard of it. I looked up the Beef House, and I've heard of Covington and I'm sure I've passed through it before, but I've never been there. My dad lives off of 74, a little more east than you, in Pittsboro ("Home of Jeff Gordon").

Yeah, I live in the weed capital of the world, lol.
I've noticed that there are never many west coasters on forums. There weren't hardly any on my baby name forum that I used to be on either. I wonder why that is?

Haven't seen any other WV girls here, either. Was born in Wheeling, (cuz Dad worked there and only til 8 months, so don't remember it at all) grew up in Morgantown, (both Grandmothers here, parents graduated Morgantown High School) until 3 when Dad went to work for AT&T. Then New Jersey, WV Eastern Panandle, , Maryland, and Virginia. Graduated BRHS, Ashburn, VA, attended WVU (did not graduate) and stayed home. Have moved away several times, always returned with less than I left with, and decided never again. Rob grew up in Motown also, left to work in Richmond, VA and went back and forth several times before deciding home was the place to stay. We will never leave again.

I think I might be the only current/active member from . . . . Minnesota!! Yes, the winters are just as bad as everybody says they are, yes, the Vikings suck, yes the Mall of America is HUGE and yes, the loon does sound like that.
I live in the capital city but I have traveled to just about every big town in this state (we do a lot of historical re-enactment throughout the state, and the neighbors) and right about Easter time, ie, in early April, if you get north enough, you could be lucky enough to see the Northern Lights! I've lived here since 1992 and normally I'm too far south for them, but once everything aligned correctly and WOW -- I could have gone on looking all night.
How many people can say that they can see the Northern Lights without leaving home, eh? (and yeah, it's only about a six hour drive to Winnipeg!)

Central Missouri here...half way between Kansas City and St. Louis. They call us the "Show Me State" and if you stick around long enough we'll show you that its the only state where you can snow ski and water ski in the same day. Good ol Missouri weather...if ya don't like it...wait until tomorrow it will be something completely different.
Moving to Mississippi in the next year or so...I can't wait...WARM WEATHER!:bblol:
