Cindy is using her and her FH's birthstone colors in their wedding and I think that is a great way to add a personal touch to the wedding.

It had me thinking about birth flowers too, maybe you could try to use your birth flowers in the wedding too.

Mine is a Chrysanthemum (Nov) they come in many different varieties and colors. MY DH's is a Violet which is pretty much purple.

Here is a website I found that lists the birthstones and flowers and their meaning ... http://www.shgresources.com/gems/birthflowers/

Anyway Cindy got me thinking and I just thought I would share.

Thanks so much! Mine and FH's birth flowers are daisies and sweet pea. I think they're both really pretty. This may help solve my bouquet dilemma!

Once again, this is something I have never heard of. I'm beginning to wonder if the place I come from is under one giant rock that we don't know about. A birth flower? I have never heard of a birth flower. It's sounds kinda neat. I would like to find out what my birth flower is. I know my birth stone is an ugly peridot that I hate. Maybe my birth flower is pretty.

Well I searched and my birth flower is a gladiolas. I had never heard of it, but I'm not a big flower person so that is not surprisening and they are pretty!

I don't see it working for us. First of all, the colors would be red and white. I think that would be too Christmasy looking for May. And the flowers are a big no no. In April it says daisy, I HATE DAISIES! I have hated them since I was a kid. Sean's is larkspur which is ok but not something I would seek out for a wedding. I guess we lost out on this one.
