So I decided to make my jewelry for my girls, I figure it's less costly, and they'll all match, and I can include it in their BM gift!

So I was at Michaels yesterday and got some sterling silver chains and earring hooks, and in the wedding aisle they had double heart charms that are just adorable!

All in all, I spent about $30 on the materials - for 5 sets! And I'll have extra earrings and I might get another necklace chain (smaller one) for Sierra (Matt's daughter)

Here are the materials:

If anyone has any suggestions for something other than the simple ring holding the charm to the earring/necklace, I'm open to ideas. But I ran these pics by one of my BM's and she loves em.

those are soo pretty! What a great idea.

If you wanted extra maybe you could add some dangly crystal beads to hang beside (sorry, I'm no good at explaining myself). But i think they're perfect just the way they are. Simple is pretty.

Thank you! My concern is the little ring between the charm and the chain, and the charm and the earring hook. The little ring doesn't allow it to swivel, but it doesn't allow it to lay flat consistently either. I'm wondering if that ring looks cheap. I figure they can change the pendant on the chain if they want to in the long run - that's why I used the ring on it.

You wouldn't believe how easy it is, just don't tell my girls that :bblol: Go to Michaels and look at their sterling silver, or gold plated stuff. It sure beats $20 minimum per girl!

Here is the pic of all the jewelry done. If I find something to replace that ring holding the charms to the chain/earring hook I'll use it, but for now this is the final!

I think that they look beautiful the way that they are. AND you can buy them additional pendants for birthdays and christams.

Have you seen these table top necklace/jewelry holders? They would make a nice addition to the gift or a gift for another time.

Those are cute!!!! I really like them, the big ring I think is fine.... And I like the idea of giving them a charm at special occassions.... and they can start a charm bracelet
