I am DIY'ing burlap table runners. I bought the fabric today and it has that oily/terpentine-y smell. Anyone have any experience getting the smell out? I tried googling but didn't find any tips. Thanks!

I have no experience, but maybe some sort of Febreze type spray would work?

I bought a few packages of it to decorate our booth at a craft fair. I was told that it is available without the smelly gunk ..... have you unwrapped it? Perhaps you could bring it back and get the non-smelly version.
BTW - the stuff I bought eventually "aired" out.

If you have any nice sunny days between now and the wedding maybe try laying them outside in the sun... sun "bleaching" works wonders for smells...
another thought - maybe try the dryer on low/no heat with some dryer sheets??
