We got our first reply!!!

So, we sent out our invitations on Monday, and we got our first reply card in the mail yesterday! It's so exciting, because it feels like it's really happening now! So many people have been calling us to tell us that they are the nicest invitations they've ever seen.
I can't believe how close we are getting to the big day. I really can't wait.

I am so glad you got your first rsvp. I remember when I had my wedding last year in october. I sent rsvp cards and no one but my mom and grandparents responded. It hurt my feelings when nonody rsvp us. And to top it off when our wedding got closer and closer. We had to pay for allthose peoples seating and chair decorations. They didn't have the respect to even rsvp. I paid forty dollars for each chair all together plus tables. To top it off those people didn't even show to our wedding. And we had to pay for their seating.

If people do not respond by two weeks before the wedding. Call them and ask them by the way did you get my invitation. If they say yes I did ask them if they are coming to the wedding. Tell them because we need a headcount. And don't worry about being pushy in the future because it is your wedding.

I know how you must be feeling ... it just seems more real now. That is how I felt when it got close to my wedding and everyone knew and such.

Yay Shawna! Our first RSVP we got back was from my DH's brother and they handed it across the dining room table to us! lol!! So was it a yes or a no? Judging by how excited you are, I'd assume a yes!! Wahoo!!

Now we are at 136 yes's and 4 No's.

The due date is tommorow, but we still have lots that haven't replied.

I can't wait to get our invitations out so we can start getting our RSVPs in too! Ours are all ready to go out, I just have to take them to the post office! YAY!

Yeah. My dad has to order 20 more invites. Yipee! In April he's coming down, hopefully, so he's going to bring them down. I'm going to go nuts until I can actually do more wedding stuff. Can't wait to start geting replies!!

But, 80 are invited and we only have room for 60. Gee, I hope some people cancel!

I'm not really looking foward to the phone calls to check the late people. Today is the cut off, so I think we'll start making calls on Tuesday.

I always send my rsvp back - i tend to think that if i dont reply then they wont expect me to turn up at the wedding and its only fair as food etc has to be ordered and paid for! Good luck with your phone calls though xxx
