Wedding dresses with color

I have tried on several dresses and decided that I wanted to go with one that had some color in it. Haven't really figured out exactly what colors, yet but some kind of blue is one of them. About a month ago, I tried on Bonny dress 808 in blue, and loved it except for the fact that it had a halter top. I am really looking for something strapless.


I also tried on an Alfred Angelo dress 1708 that I liked as well, but I still liked the color in the front on the Bonny better.


I felt like I have looked online at so many dresses, but still haven't found anything that is strapless that has color in the front. If unable to find anything with color in the front, would still like more color like the Alfred Angelo link, than just a tie or color ribbon in the back. Any information would be helpful.

I think it is great that you are thinking about doing something a bit non-traditional. I got married just a few months ago and ended up buying a cream BCBG dress with a think black sash. Very flowy and simple and I LOVED it. We got married on the north coast of Maui on a flower farm and I wanted my dress to be nice and simple. I thought I was going to get a dress with color, so I looked at quite a few, but I ended up falling in love with a solid white gown.

One of the dresses with color I liked was Alfred Angelo 1139 (http://www.alfredangelo.com/Collections/ProductDisplay.aspx?productID=63393ac1-cc62-4aab-8be8-ca5beef27f62&categoryID=32e5a88c-cbf1-498f-afcf-dbfca138c5d3&pg=0). David's Bridal also has a few that are strapless that have color in the front (for example, style E9244).

Have you gone to bridal shops and just asked to see strapless gowns that have some color in the front? The workers there should be able to pull any samples they have that fit what you are looking for.

Have you tried Davids Bridal? They have many different choices for having some color on your dress. I love that they have everything to coordinate too.

That's the dress I was looking for to post, but I didn't have the time to get on DB's website. My mom got married in that dress, but it was white/ivory. Beautiful! The cool thing is they make it for flower girls as well.. that's what I wanted for my FG's, but they're $$ more than what I wanted to pay.

I've come to realize after many failed attempts at trying on white dresses, have realized that I look SICK and PASTEY in white dresses.... I also dont feel comfortable in all white dress.... after so much dissapointement and feeling down about my body i went with pink....
