The obvious question everybody is asking is what you like the best about your man and what is his best feature etc (not in the forums I mean friends etc)
So I am making it a little funny here!
What is the one thing you can't stand about him, that totally freaks you out? :bblol: That one that makes you roll your eyes.

Well I hate to be the first to post something on this forum. But I hate two things.
I hate what my FH eats. We have totally different eatting habits. I like veggies and stuff, and he hates veggies.
Second, I hate that my FH has this thing where he can not take responsibility for anything.
But besides those two things he perfect.

He does this thing in the morning when he is clearing his throat, and I find it so disturbing--yet I can't describe it at all...It's just THAT weird of a sound! :bblol:

I know exactly what your talking about my FH does that as well. It's gross!
Chad's a tapper. He taps on everything and it drives me absolutely insane. I'm always saying, "Chad!" and looking at him and he knows what he's doing. Then he stops for two seconds and resumes. I know that he doesn't mean to, but it doesn't make it any less annoying!

Sometimes the way he gets so picky about things bugs me; he has this perfectionist streak about a lot of things. Sometimes he will be working on something on the computer and will ask me my opinion and make changes to it a million times when I think it was fine the first time :geek:
He does thing where he pops his knees at night before he goes to bed; I don't guess it really bugs me, but it is weird
hmmmm ... I hate the way he will over explain things to me sometimes like I am a child and/or will over explain something that I don't really need or care to know about :p
Sometimes it bothers me that he will barely pay attention to me if he is on the computer doing something and I happen to ask him a question or try to tell him something ... but if it is him asking me something when I am busy he expects me to stop everything and listen to him :purplex:
I guess that is all ;-)

I hate when Stephen talks. LOL I'm just kidding. Kind of. He talks NONSTOP sometimes!! I mean he seriously talks just to be talking. He talks about nothing important, just rambling and it drives me crazy!! That sounds so mean, but it's like I want to just chill and wtach tv or read stuff on here or whatever and he wants to tell me ALL about the latest news on the latest high school recriuting efforts by teams that I don't even like, KWIM? I love him and all, but there are sometimes I just sit there and say uh-huh every few minutes lol! He will also like interrupt me when I'm doing something and be like "OMG, honey listen to this" all excited like and when I say what it's about something I totally have to desire to know, usually about sports or a car or something. Sports are kind of a recurring theme in his conversations!

I totally hate the fact that he picks his nose while he is driving - like no one else can see you???? Grab a tissue or something...LOL
It also drives me nuts when he is sleeping, he can't just roll over - he does this sort of lift and spin off the bed and then pounces in this spot.

I greatly dislike the fact that he does this thing, and it's so like, annoying. He just... well.... yeah yeah, oh hey did you know it's the 21st of February and there are only 29 days this month? Oh yeah, sorry, anyhow, he does this think... he just.... umm, oh...

:bblol: Another hilarious thread!!
I hate that he can't just LEAVE. Like, when we're getting ready to go somewhere, he says he's ready and then finds 100 things to do before he can go.
For example, we'll be walking out the door and he'll pass by a bill that he apparently HAS to pay RIGHT NOW...and then on the way out, he'll remember he wanted to check how much cereal we had left...and then getting into the car, he'll decide to put a new trash bag in the garbage can.
One day, we FINALLY left and he saw a weed in the driveway and HAD to stop and pull it out and throw it away. Seriously!
I'm always saying, "Come on, OCD!"
He's that way with everything, though. Like, he'll go to get me a glass of water and it'll take him 15 minutes because he starts doing everything else on the way to the kitchen! Hheheh!

Ugghhh he drives me NUTS when he does one of two things (and I've told him a thousand times about both of them!) ... When I'm talking and trying to tell him a story he's like "Yeah... yeah....yeah yeah....yeah." DUDE! Stop it!! I appreciate that he's paying attention but I hate that he rushes me along like that. The other thing is when HE is telling a story he says "okay" after almost every sentence. "So I was working on this thing, okay, and my boss came over and told me blah blah, okay, so then I had to go to this other guy and tell him and he was like, blah blah, okay." I told him that whenever he does that I'm going to say, "Okay!!" really enthusiastically, but I always get so annoyed when he does it that he's onto something else by the time I remember to respond.

At least once a day, he has to pop practically every joint in his body. He starts with his knuckles and his back and then does his toes and his feet. It's only really annoying when he does it right after we go to bed, so I'm trying to fall asleep and then there's like 5 minutes of cracking joints.
He also bites his toenails, which I'm pretty used to now, but kind of weirded me out when we first started dating, lol.

This is so funny! My guy also has to hock a loogie EVERYTIME he brushes his teeth... morning AND night! And he also makes that weird clicking noise in the back of his throat/nose when he's trying to clear it. Yuck! It totally reminds me of my dad! He used to crack his back every morning but his doctor told him to stop (Thanks, doc!).

I guess the most annoying thing my husband does (and believe me this bugs me to death) is he tries to please everyone. It doesn't matter who or what about he tries to please and make everyone happy. You might ask why this is a bother, but imagine your hubby or soon to be hubby having an ex and still trying to please her when asked something. UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Oh this is great!
There are only 2 things I think of right off the bat.
First, If he is telling me a story, something that has happend or what ever... and I knew some of the info to start with, and he just needs to tell me how it ended. He feels the need to tell me the WHOLE THING from the start. and He can not stop in the middle of a thought, if he is saying something that he has said before, and i stop him and tell him, youve told me this already, he still has to go all the way through it.
second, when he is on the computer or playing his games, there is a 10 second delay in everything he says, he doesnt exactly tune me out, because he DOES hear me and he Does respond i just have to wait for it... AHHHHHHHHHH!

My husband LOVES Madden Football. It's the only video game he plays consistently, but he'll "talk" to his team in the shower. Nowhere else besides when he's taking a shower. I swear! He gives them pep-talks or reprimands. It's CRAZY! The other day he was playing the game and was upset because he was losing, and I said "Man, you better go take shower so you can whip them into shape!" ;)
It doesn't "freak me out" but I just find it very amusing...and I think it just might freak others out who don't know his intense personality the way I do.

Ha! I couldn't answer this last night because DH was about .... LOL He saw the thread though and said "Oh great ... now you are going to be complaining about me!"
At first I thought that he was just trying to keep his phone calls secret from me but now I have come to realize that DH is a pacer too.
*fun thing to do to a pacer* .... follow them around from room to room as they talk on the phone. If you really want to fluster them, grab them or pinch their butt while they are talking.
DH and I think the same way MOST of the time so when I speak, he THINKS he knows what I am about to say next and he will answer me before I am done talking. It drives me batty! "Can I PLEASE finish my sentence?!"
DH scratches his head or rubs his feet (most of the time without realizing that he's even doing it). I feel like his mother when I have to tell him "Stop that. You are going to make yourself bleed!"
If anyone can find a cure for this annoyance, I will pay them! DH believes in the *cleaning fairy*
It doesn't matter if the kitchen has just been cleaned (by either him or me) or that the dishwasher may be empty ....... whenever he fixes or gets something in the kitchen, he leaves glasses & empty wrappers on the counter & empty dirty pots on the stove. He doesn't know how to put things in the sink to soak, into the garbage or into the dishwasher.

Okay I thought of a couple more, they are kind of along the same lines of the stuff you guys have already posted. Like taking forever to tell you something! Except, Stephen CANNOT get interrupted. like if he is telling me something, and I have a questions or somehting, he will answer my question, but completely start over!! Sometimes I interupt him just bn/c he has to start over and it's hilarious!!
Also, when I am on the phone, like with my mom or somebody and they are telling me something of some importance and I say, wow, or OMG, or anything like that he will sit there and ask me what she said WHILE I'm on the phone until I answer him. I swear he's like a child sometimes lol!!
Elizabeth-Stephens thinks we have a cleaning fairy as well lol, but I figure most men do so I try not to get to aggravated!

My Stephen procrastinates on anything that will make him take a stand on something. If he has to voice a decision, he puts it off.
Drives me batty - I make up my mind and I move on and if I have to share that decision it's no big deal. Planning ahead with this man is like going down a never ending maze...............argghhhhhh
'Course my mom and family don't think that half the activities in the world will cause you to go to hell, like his does. So maybe that's why he's a little gun shy of taking a position.
He does crack his knuckles from time to time and that makes my skin crawl. But once he realized how really icky it was for me, he hasn't done it in front of me since.........

ok...I have to say mine are going to border on cute and annoying. I am from Missouri and my hubby is from Mississippi. I love his southern drawl and I love the south, but sometimes I do a double take on some of the expressions and pronounciations. He does not go out and start the car...he cranks the car. I close the windows...he closes the winders. I take someone with me to the store...he carries them with him to the store. I'm a fast talker...he has that slower drawl. I walk fast...he walks slow.(this is not a real problem considering I am only 5' 6" and he is 6' 3", I have to take two steps to his one:laugh:)
Now this is the one thing that shocked me when we moved in together...he is a primper...He takes longer to get ready than I do. When we travel, In addition to community shampoo, soap, & toothpaste, I take a small make up bag, deorderant, toothbrush, razor, perfume and hairbrush. He takes, deorderant, toothbrush, a large hairbrush, cologne, razor, aftershave, a box of sightsavors to clean his glasses, hairspray and a hairdryer! Check him out on my website ladies...he is damned near bald!

Mine leaves stuff behind him, and expects the woman of the house to take care of it. Like, if he's reading and decides he wants to go to bed, he'll just up and leave, with the light on and the book (open) on the chair . . . . same thing with dinner. If there's leftovers, think he'll put them in a container and then in the fridge? Heck no! He just leaves food out. That wouldn't bother me so badly except for two things: A) he has no problem eating the food the next day that's been left out all night -- gross, right! And dangerous! And B) he recently got on my case for leaving my dishes around and not putting them in either the sink or the dishwasher. I really let him have it, and told him in no uncertain terms that if it was ok for HIM to leave food out, that it was ok for ME to leave food out. He hadn't considered it in quite that light, but saw my point.
I'm still trailing around after him closing up the house and turning off lights and so on. When I pointed this behavior out to him, he was shocked that I would think it was a gender thing. I said 'You mom did this while you were living with her, then your wife did it, right? And when you lived alone you just left the lights on, right?' He said 'Yeah . .. ' like he didn't 'get' where I was going. I said 'Think you might have left your lights on because there wasn't a woman around to clean up after you?' and he vehemently denied it but of course, that's what he's doing. It's what he grew up with and what his first marriage was like.
Don't get me wrong, I don't mind closing down the house at night, after all, I don't have to get up in the morning and I tend to prowl anyway, making sure that everything is all set. But I thought I ought to point this behavior out to him anyhow.
He swears it has nothing to do with his expectations of the feminine gender. I don't believe that for a second. :)

Oh my goodness, we were eating breakfast this morning and he did something else that he always does. He can't eat an entire piece of toast! He has to leave one very last bite. The only thing RC does that drives me crazy is name dropping. Ok I know he travels alot for work and usually flies first class. He has sat next to John Force, Across the isle from Kenny Rogers the singer. Also Kenny Rogers the pitcher. He then proceeds to tell everyone the conversations that he had with them. Once is ok it's the repeated over and over that gets to me. The only famous person I've ever seen is one of the guys in the band Three Doors Down. He was sleeping the whole flight (that or stoned) when he was awake he sounded like a spoiled little brat.

And not that he doesnt have OTHER annoying habits but i think taking the cake is the fact that i clean literally 3 times a day.. and he always says "honey i wish you would relax and sit for a minute" and im like GRRRRRRRR And i look like a charging bull. i mean, i wouldnt be cleaning this much if you would have taken the dogs out when you got home, they wouldnt have used the floor as a wee wee pad and then if you had put your dishes away in the DISHWASHER!!!!!!! ohh yah and then, by all means, dont you get up off the couch and ask if i need help.... just gripe that you hate seeing me "work" so much..

Not long ago at work we got to take the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator test. It's to see where you fall as far as personality and who you are. While going through it I could pretty much guess where FH would be. In places we are total opposites! So maybe opposites do attract.
I hate that he pops every joint and bone he can. Back, neck, elbow (GROSS), fingers. I HATE it and he knows it. The elbow is so gross and he will do it when we are sitting on the couch, so it's like right next to me and it drives me crazy!

Ok here is something that freaks me out. RC has a major popcorn habit. At least 3 or 4 times a week he makes a LARGE bowl of popcorn. Two runs of the air popper. He then adds a stick of melted butter and popcorn salt. Here comes the freaky part. I now have to make all of his popcorn because every time he gets near the machine it stops. If he says one word it will stop and not start up again. I tease him and tell him that it is his late wife monitering his butter consumption. I've cut him back to 1/4 a stick but he doesn't like it. Thank goodness the popcicles are fat free.

O..M..G!! I can't believe my husband isn't the only one who does this. Jamie won't eat any other kind of popcorn besides air popped, and it's always an entire stick of butter that must be melted and poured over it. I always tell him he's going to have a heart attack before he reaches 40. Good on your for cutting him back to 1/4 stick! I tried that, and he just got more and melted it himself. I also tried using margarine...and he threw the whole bowl of it away. Stubborn boy. Though his presence doesn't kill the popper. Can't figure that one out, LOL.

We LOOOOVE making air popcorn!...though we only add 3/4 of a stick of butter. And we add parmesan cheese! LOL!
We're both watching what we eat now though, so we don't do it often anymore (maybe once every 3 weeks), but we used to make it about 3 times a week! We'd often have the conversation, "For dinner, do you want food or popcorn?" :bblol:

This thread is hillarious!
Jon constantly chews on straws! He especially loves the tiny stir stick straws. It drives me crazy. Everywhere I look, there are chewed up straws- in the laundry, in the bed, in the couch, on the floor. I swear he must go to the gas station, get a cup of coffee, and pocket about 38 stir stick straws!
Another thing that he does is chews on beer bottle tops. Everytime he opens a beer, he bites the metal top and folds it in half with his teeth. It makes me cringe!! He says it won't hurt his teeth because they are so strong. I tell him that he is going to be toothless by the time he is 40.
Something else that drives me crazy is his clothing habits. He has clothes that he has had since seventh grade with weird sayings and holes in the armpits and thinks nothing of wearing them. He wears this one ratty hooded sweatshirt so much and I am literally embarrased to be seen with him wearing it. Some of his clothes might start "mysteriously" dissapearing, no joke. Another thing is that I don't think he has ever gone to the store and bought himself clothes. Usually people buy him clothes for holidays/birthdays or I force him to buy new clothes. To him, clothes just aren't important enough to spend money on.
Oh my goodness, we were eating breakfast this morning and he did something else that he always does. He can't eat an entire piece of toast! He has to leave one very last bite. I have to admitt I do this, but not just toast with EVERYTHING I eat, sandwich, steak, salad, doesn't matter for some reason i cannot get myself to eat it!
Jerry feels the need to play the devils advocate in every single situation possible. Everything I say he seems to think he needs to "defend the otherside" The other day I was complaining about my brother not picking a time for my nephews baptism and Jerry says well he's busy he's got 5 kids under than age of 7, give him a break. So about 10 minutes later, just to see what he'd say I said, well I suppose its not big deal if he hasn't picked a time, he'll let us know when he finally decides, then Jerry says yeah I guess but seriously this is getting ridiculous people need to plan....WHAT?!?! you just contradicted yourself...man it just drives me nuts!!!!

OK this doesn't freak me out but it annoys the living daylights out of me...
When I am driving and he is passenger, he will always, ALWAYS use the imaginary break pedal when I break... I drive an ambulance for a living people so my driving skills in my own car reflect as if I have lights and sirens on, so yes I break hard, and take off fast.... but he is ALWAYS using the imaginary break pedal...
I have brought this to his attention and he has gotten better about it, but out of the corner of my eye I can still see his leg moving like he is still trying to reach out for that brake pedal... ughhh!!!!

LOL This thread is great. What a great way to make me laugh at work.
Anyway, one thing that my FH does is everytime he brushes his teeth, he makes himself gag. He never will let me watch what he does (I'm THAT curious about what he does to make him gag and he doesn't let me watch because he says it's gross-but if it's gross, why does he do it?) LOL It's weird because I'll be in the room watching TV and I'll hear him gagging in the bathroom loudly like he's throwing up or something. ew. lol

Chad's a tapper. He taps on everything and it drives me absolutely insane. I'm always saying, "Chad!" and looking at him and he knows what he's doing. Then he stops for two seconds and resumes. I know that he doesn't mean to, but it doesn't make it any less annoying!

Ok so Mike has a lot of things that i dislike about him. For one he refuses to wear anything nice. This man still have clothes from when he was like in 10th grade. Every pair of jeans, shorts, and every shirt has some kind of stain on them. He takes for ever and thinks that dilly dallying around is something you are supposed to do when you need to be on time.
HE CHEWS!! it has to be the most disgusting thing i have ever seen in my entire life! He cant come near me with one in... EWWWWW!!!!!!!
But the thing about him that i cant stand more then anything in the whole entire world.. he compares me to his mother.. and darn it if he wanted someone like his mother then he should have married her because as much as he thinks i am like his mom I AM NOTHING LIKE HER!
thanks girls i feel so much better now :o

Matt loves to talk about the Army. So much that he uses terms and abbreviations that I do not understand at all! I am not the one in the Army, he is. He just has to seem cool somehow
He is absolutely picky when we go out to eat. A hamburger with ketchup only and a vanilla milkshake or water. Its the same thing. We go grocery shopping and I want to pull my hair out. He will not eat any sides or veggies. He is so unbelievably particular about what he eats!
Thats really all i can think of. I love his little habits sometimes though, they can be adorable at times for some reason lol

Oooh ooh. Fun thread. Can't believe I've missed this one before.
Let me preface by saying that I love FH...but...
I have a list.
First, his driving scares the **** out of me. Too fast, too close to other cars, too impatient. Every time I ride with him I find out what it feels like to have my heart in my throat.
Second, he's super messy. Hair in the sink, socks on the floor, empty coke cans everywhere. I'm super clean, so you can imagine how much patience I must have when it comes to him.
Third, World of Warcraft. He played so much we had to use parental controls to limit the number of hours he could play a day and I had to keep the parental control password myself so he couldn't access it to change it.
Fourth, the farting.
Fifth, sometimes he doesn't brush his teeth before he goes to bed. Morning breath = bad. (Not always...)
Sixth, he likes to pull cold things out of the freezer and chase me around the house, in an attempt to try to hold them against my bare skin.
But I love him anyway. :)

DH has a nasty habit of grinding His teeth when He's asleep. It makes My teeth go on edge. So every night i'm shouting at Him to Stop Grinding.
He also makes a noise like He is sucking a Dummy. Then i found out all His Daughters do the same when they are asleep. So does His Grandson. Must be in the Genes LOL.
He's very untidy. He'll come in from work and strip off His Overalls and Boots
in the hallway. Then He'll take His Sweatshirt off in the Lounge and throw it on the sofa. Throw His phone on the floor along with the works phone, His Tobacco, Lighter and Wallet. If He has any mail He'll open it and then throw it all on the floor. And heaven help Me if He gets a Parcel. The packaging and contents will be chucked everywhere.
Then He sits there and says "Wow, You can tell i'm home" :bbeek:
Once i told Him i wasn't going to pick up after Him for a week.
I lasted two days. :whyme:
The cleaner in Me came out and i had to tidy up. The mess and chaos was driving Me insane.
Having said all that. When i had Surgery back in July He did manage to keep the house spotless. So it's not like He "Can't" do it. He just knows i'm a fussy cow who likes things done a certain way.
Plus He winds Me up by saying Housework is "Womans Work" LOL.

He sounds like my DH! All he talks about is sports and I tend to block him out after about 10 minutes. I feel bad about it, but he just goes on and on! Like yesterday, he called me while I was at work and started going through the whole list of games left for Oklahoma City Thunder (OKC's NBA team). He started telling me which ones we were going to and how we're not going to go to whatever game because so-and-so isn't that good, etc., etc. I eventually interrupted and said, "Baby, can we talk about this more after work?" He was like "oh, yeah." And he talks loud, too...

I totally hate the fact that he picks his nose while he is driving - like no one else can see you???? Grab a tissue or something...LOL
It also drives me nuts when he is sleeping, he can't just roll over - he does this sort of lift and spin off the bed and then pounces in this spot.
Hehe, this is so gross! My DH does this, too. When I got my new car, we made an agreement: I can't smoke in the car and he can't pick his nose in the car! :)

This is hilarious, I am almost in tears here. I have been debating getting Madden Football for dh. I don't think I will now. I'm not sure if I can handle him giving a pep talk to his team in the shower:rofl:That is so somthing he would do

I Love my DH to death.. I really do:innocent:
But like the rest of you.. I have a list..
* He watches sports from the minute the alarm in the morning goes off till he lays his head on the pillow to sleep! I mean seriously... sports is not that interesting
* he slirps! He will get to the bottom of a fruit cup or soda, he will slirp that last bit up like its the last on on earth! It drives me freaking crazy
* I will ask him what a score of a game is, he feels the need to go over play by play for like 10 minutes and then tell me the score. Come on all I asked for was the score! Not the play by play to he must figure its a bonas for me to hear all of it..:irked:
* He feels the need to tell me when he deficates, how it was and if it was a good one or not!:w00t: TO MUCH INFORMATION!
* He has to think about EVERTYHING before we do it. If were going to the grocery store, he stops in the middle of the isle, looks at the food we got and go through everyday of the week. Like he will say "ok for Monday I will have this, Tuesday I will have this.."
OMG!!! You guys are just way too funny!! I have tears running down my face from reading this. It is just to good.
Bruce also thinks there is a cleaning fairy...especially in the kitchen. I shouldn't complain because he is sssssooooo good about taking out the garbage. But, his kitchen thing can be annoying, especially if I have just scrubbed it!!
Otherwise, he's not too bad. He's not much into sports except racing and I like that too, so we get along fine about that!!

My Fh spends to much $ on hunting and sports stuff then "scolds" me when I spend money on things for the house or wedding. so I sat him down and showed him what money I had put into the wedding fund, what I had paid for and what amount he had put in ( none) Then showed hime what he had bought for hunting and what it had cost. He was kinda quiet the rest of the night and then the next day I got flowers at work and he had put money into the account. He had also cooked supper when I got home.WOW, I should have done that sooner!

I don't know if I posted on this thread when it was first started or not, but here are a few bothersome things of the present :)
I cook dinner, and then I have to be in my office for work until 11pm. I will come back into the apartment and food will still be out, and it will of course be spoiled.
Sometimes I want to rip his hands off of that stupid xbox controller... xbox live gets played a lot. He is getting better about it though.
I hate when he tries to act goofy and funny when something is wrong, such as I am mad at him. He just wants things to blow over and not talk about it.

Its about 11:15 pm here. I'm sitting on my laptop on the couch watching t.v. insteadof sleeping in my warm bed next to my future husband. Why? BECAUSE HE IS TAKING UP THE WHOLE **** BED. I have a butt in my back, elbow in my back. I hit him, push him, nothing makes him move. I don't want to be too mean about it because he does work from 5am to 5pm, and he is exhausted. My DH is exactly the same. Two nights ago He turned over in His sleep and elbowed Me right on the neck bone. Was like being hit with a hammer. So i punched Him back :winktongue: He woke up and said sorry then went straight back to sleep. I drifted off again but He turned over with such force i woke up to duck out the way of flying arms.
He tends to flay about in His sleep when He is totally knackered.
In the end i got up and slept in the spare room.

I usually end up getting mad, yelling at him, and then I go lay back down on the couch. First, he could wake me up when he lays down in bed. And second, he doesn't have to take up the whole bed!!! There are a few things that FH does that drives me INSANE.
1) Pacing while on the phone. He cannot and will not sit still. Often he will go into another room, which is fine... but if I do that he follows me! lol
2) Anytime he gets something out of the drawer/cubbard he leaves it open. I constantly have to walk through the kitchen and shut 3-4 cubbards and close drawers. Seriously? How freaking hard is it to close it when you are done?!
3) He sometimes starts in the middle of a sentance. Like, he is having a conversation in his head, then makes a comment or asks me something... or just randomly starts talking about something and expects me to know what the heck is talking about!

when he doesn't listen to me.. omg. he will let me sit and talk for an hour about things we're doing that week and as SOON as i say ok let's go...he says 'what're we doing?' ugh.
1. FH insists that he's falling off the bed because I'm hogging all the space, but in actuallity, there's a whole FOOT between FH and his edge and I'm squeeshed up against my edge with an arm hanging off.
2. FH is a SUPER fast talker and he stutters slightly when he gets excited. It's not that he has a speech impediment of sorts, but rather that there's just way too much going on in his head for his mouth to catch up so he stumbles over his words. I frequently have to remind him that "not all of us are Harvard graduates" (an on-going joke because I know in my heart that I went to the better Ivy League :p) and that my brain doesn't function quickly enough to keep up.
3. After a trip out to CA's wine country a few years ago, FH returned with this obnoxious habbit of noisily sipping his wines. Says it's the "proper way" to really appreciate wine so I let him be for a while, but these days, he does it with everything!! I have to point it out every time it happens so he realizes he's doing it.

My biggest thing is that sometimes he talks to me like a I'm a toddler. I know he doesnt mean to, but its like seriously?! I'm not 4! Talk to me like a grown up.
A few other things though are that he seems to find the negative in EVERY situation no matter what it is.
He also is indecisive. I mean like not the normal a little indecisive. I mean seriously, cant make a decision on ANYTHING. When we bought the house he called his mom to make sure that the type of paint he wanted was ok!
But those are just small annoyances.
Oooh and, it takes him foooorrreeeevveeerr to get to the point of something. He has to stop and start and then stop again before he finally just spits it out.

FH has a reading disability and when he reads things he has to read out loud or he doesnt obsorb what he reads. This is no big deal as I have gotten used to it but what does irk me is when he reads a contract (with the wedding and house there have been alot of contracts signed.) he feels the need to explain every detail of what the paragraph says. I have a degree in accounting, a minor in finance and marketing. Why does he talk to me like a child that cant read even the simplest legal lingo? I have to constantly tell him "I get it" or he will spend an hour talking about one term of the contract. I know its because he doesnt have any background in business but gosh I GET IT!!
Oh that and he clears his throat by scoffing and haucking a luggie. Gross. It doesnt bother me as much as it used to but its still gross.

Okay.. So my FH is wonderful.
But. When he is watching a show (Like The Office, or Gardening in Georgia, or anything that he's even slightly interested in) there can be no other noise in the universe. I can't ask him a question, Raelynn (the dog) can't lap up water, etc. Or he gets really ticked.
Now, on the other hand, when I'm watching a show (BONES!), he decides we need to make a decision on how much we can spend on the new back porch... or he decides to VACUUM. He never. ever. ever. cleans and the last time I was home, I was watching TV and all of a sudden BAM.. he's vacuuming. :boggle:
WTH? But.. it actually just made me laugh and throw a pillow at him. :) He's so weird.

#2(TMI)-if we take a shower together, i'll be quick and thorough, thinking "i'll hurry so he can relax"...then he starts this stupid game of throwing soap on me! OH OH, OR he'll throw water in my face...idk WHY, but i absolutely HATE the water from the shower on my face. very strange i know. i don't wash my face in the tub/shower. :realmad:

"honey, **** it, lemme finish on OW(haha yep!), then i'll do your mani/pedi:drv::kap::rofl: but it works...
#4-because he had his 2 kids, before wehad alex(duh) sometimes he'll tell me to do or try something, like i've never done it before...or he'll say "you could always try..", and i'm like "yep, just did it...might be MY first biological kid, but not the 1st one i've "raised"...." :lafhard:

another one to add...
I hate it when summers here.. all I hear from FH is " that was a strike, the pitcher just hit that guy.. he should be walked to first base" now that fall is here all I hear is "Touch Down" or "who should be my kicker on my fantasy foot ball team" really? I mean the only quarter back I know is Brett Favre and you want my opinion on a kicker! I FRANKLY JUST DONT CARE who kicks the darn ball! :realmad: It's bad enough we can't step foot out of the house on a Sunday because football season is back!!!!:icon_tv:

Wow, it's been awhile since I've replied here.
I don't know what it is that he does, but when DH is brushing his teeth he *always* makes this horrible, horrible coughing noise. It drives me nuts because I'm in bed trying to sleep, and he's in there hacking and sometimes it's so bad that I'm SURE he's going to throw up in the sink... but he never does. Just makes the awful noise. And then, if I comment on it, he goes "I know, isn't that sound terrible?!" -- SO DON'T DO IT!
I'm the type that likes to purge the house every few months... if I haven't used it or worn it in a year, it goes. He would keep every single thing he's EVER owned if I let him. I'm talking cereal box prizes, his class notebooks from like first grade, up until recently he still had the paper crown he got at his friends 8th birthday party.. he's got more weinermobile figurines than I have ever seen... he just keeps *everything* and if I try to get him to get rid of something, you'd think I was asking him to sacrifice body parts!
Sometimes he'll go to sleep before me and I'll stay up reading... he'll fall asleep for half an hour then wake up and look at me like I'm the devil, and ask me to turn the light off because he can't fall asleep. Dude, I would have turned the light off ten minutes ago but I couldn't get through the page I was on because you were snoring so loud!!! And he absolutely insists that I'm mistaken, because he just KNOWS he was awake that whole time.
He'll watch me clear the table and do the dishes, and when I've got one or two dishes left to put in the dishwasher and all the leftovers are already in the fridge, he'll ask if he can help me. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy to do it... he works all day and deserves a break at home, but I'd rather he just let me do it and not say anything, than offer to help me when it's too late!
