I am totally new to this whole 'thread' thing, and not really sure what I am doing. Could anyone explain a bit for me??

Congrats and Welcome!
I was lost when I came in in September. You already figured out how to post and start a thread. Thats the most important part. You just read through what already here and if you have some input feel free to give it. If you have any questions....just ask. The girls in here have been real great to me.
Youre getting married in Novemeber. Do you have colors picked out and/or a theme? Formal or informal wedding? How big?
OH!!!! Dont forget to check out the Journal forum. You can read ours and of course start your own. Just relax and have fun.....thats what we do....or at least try to.

Thanks ladies. We just got engaged last weekend, and are planning the wedding in early November this year. We have been together for a year and a half, and moved in together last August. I know that it's a bit quick, but I don't really want to wait another year, selfish?? We are doing a western wedding, kindof antique-y western. I am not sure of much in the way of details, but hopefully that will come. It won't be too big, about 100 AT MOST!!! I am just so excited, as I am sure the rest of you are. Details on your weddings??

You can also find all the new posts by clicking on new posts above. I always point that out cause it took me forever to figure that out! LOL!

I love your theme. There are quite a few girls here doing the western theme.

Our journals are the best way to get all the details on all our weddings.

A few details on mine:
We are having a private ceremony on top of a mountain that we hike up all the time. We actually just hiked up Wednesday with snowshoes(it took us 2 1/2 hours:bbeek: ). Then we are having our reception the following Saturday to give our wedding party a breather in between. :bblol: Check out my journal for all the details. I look forward to reading yours too.:D

I just started my journal, so I will see how that goes.

?? for you, how did you do that pretty signature?? I did one, but it was so bland.

Your ceramony sounds wonderful. I would like somthing outdoors, but my fiance (can't beleive I am actually saying that) wants to be married in the catholic church. He was married once before, and she refused to do that. So I figured I could at least give him that since he is giving me the rest of his life.

My wedding is on December 30 so we're having a winter wonderland theme even though in Texas it's not much of a winter wonderland. This year it's been more like we went from November to April. My colors are red and silver. Our church is to small, so we are getting married at a resort in a wooded area. Maybe I'll put some pictures of it later. I've started a journal, but I've only got one entry about our engagement and how we met.

I don't think you are moving to fast. I've known people who have gotten married much quicker than that. Besides, by the time your wedding roles around you'll be together over 2 years. Me on the other hand, I've been with Justin for nearly 4 years. If I would have had it my way we would have gotten married sooner than this. Oh well, it all works out in the end.

Thanks!! I got the "shotgun wedding" question from my sister, but I think she was only kidding w me. We just have a few other things going on, and I want to have the wedding near. He is trying for custody of his kids, and he is also in the military, and we don't want to take the chance of him getting orders, so, we are planning it sooner that he wanted, but hey, it's my wedding, right?? haha. My grandparents knew eachother for 3 months before the were married, and they were together for 49 years. I guess that is a good sign.

A girl on another board made the siggy for me. Some of the other girls have made their own though.

My brother and his wife only knew eachother a few months before they got married and they couldn't be happier. They were made for each other. Danny and I have been together for close to 12 years(April 3rd) and we are just getting around to getting married. Not that we didn't want to get married sooner it just doesn't matter to us. To us it is just a piece of paper. Now that we are getting closer to the point of starting a family we want to be married just to make the legalities easier. Everyone is different. I think when you know you know. :D
