Well, it's here . . . the holiday shopping frenzy has begun! I'm such a last minute shopper - I'll be the one out on Christmas Eve trying to find those last few gifts for family & friends. I say every year that I'm going to start shopping early, but I never do.

I was going to try to brave the crowds this morning, but decided to sleep in a little longer. How many of you brave souls clammored to get those great deals this morning??

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!!

It was wonderful!! The only time I'll be getting out today is to do a wedding this afternoon. And you would know that it's in New Orleans, I don't even want to think about how crazy it will be there today!!

How was the wedding?

I went out on Black Friday, because the power went out. A tree in the area fell on a power line about lunch time and cut off power for a few hours. Roads were a little more packed then usual, but stores were not so bad. I only went to two though, and I did not buy anything.

It was absoutely gorgeous - very elegant!! I had another one last night - very different people . . . not friendly at all!! I'm just used to all of my clients being so friendly & warm towards me & my assistant. I guess it takes all kinds, I suppose!

Sounds like you had a great time!

It does make a world to difference when you get nice people.

How was the traffic in New Orleans? A lot of shoppers?

I was out at the mall on Black Friday. I am a special education teacher, but with an upcoming wedding I took on a second job. So, the day after Thanksgiving I was working at Bath and Body Works. Great prices though :) It was busy. I love people watching though. I also got some great gift ideas for the people that will be hosting my showers.

I've been shopping everyday for the past 4 days and I'm so sick of it I could scream. I am ALMOST done, which was the goal, but after today my head is pounding and if I don't shop again for the next month, I would be perfectly happy. All I need are a few gift certs and something for my mom...and then the wrapping begins. Oh, the fun never stops.
I usually love wrapping gifts, but it's a little more difficult with a 2 year old that wants to get into everything.

I just have one more gift to get, then I am done! All the other gifts are wrapped and ready of Christmas. This week I have to sent out all the GCs that I got for some of my family and all the Christmas cards. :D

AH yall make me sick!!! I have only gotten a few gifts. I need to get tons more. I always wait until the last minute....One day I will be done shopping by October. But with the wedding, everything is tight this year, so people are just going to have to be happy with hand made things! My friend and I are going to sit down in the next week or two and have a craft day and make a bunch of stuff to give as gifts....

This is the only year I have been on a roll! I have been buying small gifts throughout the year.

The last past few years my husband and I bought all gift in Dec. and I would hand made a few. This year I have not made any gifts, because I am working on one big project for our new baby's room - 4 very large paintings!
