I wanted to buy a little present for one of my cousins, and I wanted to see some ideas you guys have. My little cousin is 12 years old, female, and her younger sister is my flower girl. I have a feeling she's feeling a little left out lately, since I'm taking the younger sister dress shopping and maybe she's jealous that her sister is in my wedding. We're having a family party this weekend and I wanted to bring the older sister a 'little' present. Any ideas what a 12 year old girl would like?

Jewelry. Nothing makes you feel better than jewelry. Get her a locket (My favorite thing to give anyone!) or some pretty earrings with her birthstone in them.
If she's feeling left out, maybe you could include her somehow. She could pass out the programs, or she could man the guestbook at the reception. Giving her some kind of role will make her feel more special than a gift, in my opinion. You could bring her flowers and in the card ask if she wants to help with a few things, you can't think of anyone who would do better than her..

Instead of worrying about a gift, why don't you talk with her at the party and make some plans to do something for just the two of you? Maybe pick her up after school, go to the mall and help her pick out a neat new tshirt or pair of shoes then go out to dinner. She will appreciate the time you put into that as she gets older more than some trinket. I used to love when my older cousins would do things like that with me when I was her age.

Maybe finding a way to include her in the wedding day activities would be nice. Since she is 12 she may feel comfortable reading a poem that you and you FH like at the ceramony. I read a passage from the bible at my Aunts wedding when i was that age. It was a nice touch.
If not, i have to agree that going out and doing somthing together would be really nice. Maybe dinner and a movie.
If you are really set on getting her a gift the necklase sounds pretty. It could be somthing she would wear to the wedding.
Good Luck!

Yeah, I have to agree with both Lacey and Jenn. Going somewhere would be fun, and she could read something in the ceremony if she feels up to it. When I was 12 I was in theatre, so I was really into that sort of stuff. If she isn't she could do something else, though.
