For my bridal photos, they will be scheduled around 5pm... I can only get the makeup lady to do my makeup @ 1:30 that day (it's a sunday and she doesn't normally work). Is that to early in your opinion??

Also, on the wedding day how early should I schedule my hair and makeup if the wedding is @ 1:30 pm? I am so clueless on these things. I want my makeup to look great in photos, but I also don't want to run too close to "starting time."

Thanks in advance for your advice!

for me, my makeup efforts are lost by 2 or 3 hours. maybe when she does it you can ask her "now what should i do for touch ups right before i walk down the aisle?" maybe she can give you a couple techniques to keep it fresh looking.

hair you cant really do touch ups on though. the last time i had my hair done for something was probably prom my freshman year of high school lol. and my hair doesnt hold styles very well. i would say whoever is doing your hair would be able to give you a better idea. are they close to where the wedding is? if so that will make it even easier. maybe just put so much gel and hairspray in your hair you could build a suspension bridge lol

Is there any way you could reschedule your bridal pictures for a little earlier? Or maybe ask your make-up lady for some tips on how to keep it fresh and see if you can get a sample some of the stuff she uses (lipstick especially will probably have worn off by then).

As for your wedding day, I would say schedule you hair appointment for about 8 am. Hair can easily take 2 hours. Then schedule make-up for about 10:30 or 11 am (depending on how far you have to drive between places). If you are taking any pictures beforehand, they will probably be around noon, so your make-up will be fresh. Definitely do hair before make-up though because it will hold better, and heat from curling irons and stuff can ruin your make-up.

My wedding was at 2 pm and I had to be at the venue at 12:30 pm. I had my hair done at about 8 am and my makeup done at about 9 am. I was out of there by 10 am, grabbed a bite to eat at Panera Bread with my girls and still got to the church early. My hair was still perfect by the wedding and I just had to redo my lipstick and lipgloss a little.
