I just went outside to check the mail and there are like 4 police helicopters hovering over my neighborhood!

I checked the local news to see if anything was on about it, but nothing. So I decided to call the local police station; they told me they were looking for suspects in the area and that I should probably stay inside for a while :fear: :petrified: :bbeek:

Too cool! I mean scary but COOL! We saw a helicopter hovering over a street across from us with it's light on, looking for the suspect. It was fun to watch. Be careful and stay inside!

Yeah, I don't know what to think; I still hear them outside.

I live within a few miles of the local prison as well as a high school; so who knows what is going on :fear:

But I am inside with all the doors locked; the dogs will hear anything weird before I will ;)

YEAH after I called 911 they said over the speaker.."we know you are the people inside called the police."

No, they didn't say anything ... sounds like they have just about left so maybe they caught who ever it was or they have moved on away from us.

I think it's normal to be freaked. It's not like they are giving you too much information after all.

This happened to DH when he was working at home. There was a knock at the door and it was a policeman. They cop explained that he needed to get into our backyard because there was "something" going on next door. DH let him through but the cop told him to lock all the doors after, stay away from the windows and not to let anyone in unless he could identify them.

BTW - the cop never did come back to tell him that it was ok to go out.

OK, I just got off the phone with the police to see if it was safe to go back outside. I asked if they caught the person they were looking for and/or if it was ok to leave the house. The officer I talked to said "everything should be fine now"; so I ask "I guess you can't tell me anything more?" he says "no mam".

So I guess everything is ok, but I still sort of wish I knew what happened or if they caught the person/people they were looking for :purplex: :bbconfused:

I know bad things happen all the time and everywhere, I just don't like having to think about it being so close :fear:

Holy cr*p, I would have been terrified! I'm glad "everything should be fine" though... sucks that they won't tell people more details about things.
