I have no clue what type of wedding favors I want. I know I do not want bubble containers, because I've been to a lot of wedding that the older guest will not use. I do not what something at looks cheap.
Looking for something that if not many people remember to take with them I could still use (in large amounts). I thought of candles, which I may do. However, I am looking for something unique.
Any help would be appreciated!

I really do not have a theme. I was thinking about adding a bit of asian influnce. My colors are cranberry red and sage green. It is going to be at a really formal place, therefore maybe something elegant.

well, you can do the candle thing. get the cranberry colored candles and wrap them in the light green tulle, just hope you REALLY like the smell of the candle.
maybe find someone that can help you, make chocolate roses? get the dark red wrap and then light green for the leaves. i think that would add to your elegance. and i don't know too many people that would leave behind chocolate, especailly if you are going to have kids there.
let me think a bit more

Those both are great ideas. The chocalote rose idea does sound elegant. I agree that everyone will take them home. Yes, there will be kids there as well. However, I do not know anyone that is a good cook.
Thanks for the ideas. I will be looking forward to others that you have.

I ended up making cali lily soap flowers with my mom from a wedding favor book that we found at Micheal Art Supply Store. They turned out great! Thank you all for replying!

I second this idea, candles are great. You can also print your names and wedding date on some really nice art paper -- there are some wonderful papers with silk fibers embedded in the paper that look sort of Asian -- and wrap it like a band around the candle.
One tip I have for making sure people take the favors, is to put them at each person's place setting, rather than all stacked together on a table near the door. When they are at the place setting people notice them more.
Hope this is helpful!

Look into ww.Kandeemaam.com. She makes the favors personally and can customize them the way you want them. She is also starting a whole new line, I don't think they are on her site yet. Also, she works on her projects right away and gets them to you asap. She's a stay at home mom with a wonerful business. Tell her Angela Cooper of Affiance-Events sent you.
