We ate at Thai Chili (so yummy!!) and just chilled out at home with Mr.Elias. Our 3 year anavarsary is on the 24th, so when I get back from Arkansas we'll go out and have a great time. We've gotta find a sitter, though.

I wanna hear what all of you guys did!! :bbmrgreen:

My Valentine sent me an e-mail yesterday afternoon and said he was feeling pretty sick (headache, sore throat, upset stomach) and he was going home.

It was OK, we went out to dinner on Saturday for Valentines Day, he brought me beautiful tulips on Saturday as well (I never want roses...too darned expensive on VDay).

So, tonight, if he's feeling better, I'll make the dinner I planned for yesterday (shrimp and linguini with spinach salad and brownies for dessert) and give him his cards.

Last night, I ended up eating dinner at my parents house and my dad gave me a rose - he used to do that all the time when we were kids on Valentine's Day...sweet huh?

Brian broght home flowers after work and thats more than I expected for 2 reasons:
1. We AGREED not to do anything because we really cant afford it
2. When we got home for lunch yesterday, we found out someone had broken into our house. Nothing was taken...I think the dogs scared him off. But STILL............

Anyway, I fixed one of his favorite meals, put the kids to bed and we had a romantic candlelit dinner just the 2 of us.

OMG Cindy, I am sorry to hear that your house got broken in to! Glad nothing was taken ... did you still call the police, did they get finger prints? Something like this happened to us when I was younger. We came home one day and the front door was open, my mom just thought one of us had left it open (we even got in trouble for it) ... 2 days later someone broke in and ransacked the place.

Anyway, about Valentines ... we are not big on the 'Hallmark Holiday' but, we do give cards. I got the 'wife' card, I just love that ... everything is better since we have been married ;)

We ordered pizza and they had these apple cinnamon things on special so we got that too  It was yummy

Then we had some 'lovin' and that is always good

We didn't do much of anything because Mark was working all day and didn't get home until 1030pm. I was so swamped with homework i didn't have much time. We got eachother cards. I bought us a book called for Richer not Poorer. It's about how to manage your finances and merging everything when you get married. It wasn't a gift for him, i just thought i would save it for yesterday.
I don't mind that we didn't do anything specail.... i don't feel like i need a day to be able to do somthing special. Plus... we spent all day Saturday doing things for the wedding and haning out with eachother.

Yeah we filed a report. Brian is pissed. I feel violated. I hope the dogs bit them! AND Im still cleaning up that black fingerprint dust. I think that was for show and seriously doubt they got anything.

We were so tired and worn out from everything by the time we went to bed, we just cuddle up next to each other and went to sleep.

I think the dogs scared them off, but Brian doesnt think so. He thinks they were looking for something specific. He wanted to see what the dogs would do, so he snuck outside and started jiggling the back door. Dogs didnt move. The only animal that came for a look was the cat. Brian was making all kinds of racket and when he saw the cat poke his head out the vertical blinds and hiss at him, he started laughing so hard he had to come back in the house.
We need one of those signs:
BEWARE OF ATTACK CAT!

LOL ... well I know I would be a little freaked out. I would keep an eye on things for a while, just to be on the safe side. I am sure it will all be fine though

Intimacy comes in many forms ... sometimes I think cuddling is just as good if not better than sex (well maybe not better ;))

Remember, Cindy, dogs can track down a baby's teardrop in a wheat field. If they could smell that it was Brian, they'll probably not budge. You mught want an unfamiliar friend to come try the same thing, and see how they react. Just make sure its someone who they don't know well (but you do).

That stinks that it happened on V Day of all days. I hope they catch them!

Brian says that with his stupid dogs it really wouldnt matter, if they threw them something to eat, the burglar would be their new best friend.

Yeah, me too.

Nicholas and I kinda spoiled each other this Valentines Day. We don't normally have themoney to do anything but we had some extra money saved up and we spoiled each other. It felt great to be able to and not worry. We went to dinner with out the kids ( that was the best ). The meal wasn't that great and we didnt finish it and didnt want to take it home. The waiter told the owner and he came to talk to us. We said we are not complaining we jusst tried soemthing new and we didnt like it. He said well I am glad it wasn't somethign about the place or the food itself. But because you didnt enjoy your meal your desert is on us. That was cool and Nicholas was gonna fight him and say no realy that's ok but he didn't. He let it go.

I got a funny card in the mornign in my car before I left for work then 3 roses and 3 balloons durign work. I gave him his card and his peanut butter chocolate heart before we went to eat and he gave me my box of White Diamonds perfume set. When we got home and got the kids in bed I went in my room to find ( way too much ) stuff on my bed. The movie the notebook, a new necklace, a teddy bear, chocolate troufles ( my favorite), and a very sweet card that made me cry. I got him a Dale Jr. #8 leather jacket I found on sale. He asked how I ever thought about getting him that. It fits him perfectly. He loved it.

OK I know we spoiled each other but we never get to do much at all and we came into a little extra money so we did. A girl at work said he shouldn't have done all that cause now I will expect it. I said no I wont. I know why we did this and it wont happen again. But hey if this is th eone and only time we can spoil each other like this then hey it is our business.

All and all I had a great day. It didn't end like we wanted it to becasue my monthly "friend" deciced to show up that afternoon. :bbmad:

Sorry to hear about what happened Cindy. Hope all is ok now and you are getting back to normal.

Ooooooh Gwen your day sounds wonderful.... with exception to your friend coming for a visit! It's always so nice when you have that extra little bit so you can afford to spoil eachother! You totally deserve it!

we had a wonderful day, Jamie had taken the day off work, so we slept late then opened our presents in bed whilst having a cuppa. I had booked him into a chiropractor as part of his present so we had a typical cooked breakfast, relaxed in a bath with a Lush bath bomb which he had bought me, then drove into cardiff for his session which he thoroughly enjoyed (hes not been before).
Then we came home got changed and went to the venue that we have booked for our wedding reception and the meal was out of this world, they had a valentines theme going on and i am now so glad that we decided on this place. We then came home, cuddled up and had the perfect end to such a wonderful day! xxx
Hope alls ok after the burglary, it happend to us last yr and we were both in bed at the time - very scary waking up and finding someone has been through downstairs!!

OMG Cindy! I am so sorry to hear that happened to you!! I hope they catch them too. Thank god you all weren't home! Was there any other breakins in your neighborhood?

Our dog is the same way. We always say the geese are more likely to seriously hurt a burgular than Simba.

On the Valentines. We don't do much. I hate that it is a commercialized holiday. I did get him some chocolates though and he knows I don't want any chocolate(dieting) So he got me some of those conversation hearts and gave me the marry me one. Tacos are his favorite meal so I always make them on valentines day for him. I am glad his favorite is so easy to make! :D

I have to work all day Tuesday so we didn't do anything ON valentine's day. But Wednesday was also our anniversary so Steve took the day off (I already had off) and we celebrated then. Went to the Olive Garden for Lunch/dinner. Did a little shopping and ordered the wedding cake. Then when we got back to the house Steve made me a bubble bath with candles and all so I got to relax while he made a late dinner. It was a good day!

We spent Valentine's day getting ready to move. I am supposed to be getting a tshirt that i really want in the mail any day now. It was supposed to be a v-day gift for me but it didn't arrive on time! Boo!! lol

Cindy,
Could it be time to look into a alarm?? I know in Canada some companies offer a free alarm system if you agree to monitor with them for 3 years at 29.95 a month. A thought maybe?? I hate that this happened to you! I hope they catch those creeps!!

They say most times when someone breaks into your home or car it is usually someone who knows you and knows what is in your home! Why can we not trust the people we know in our lives anymore??? My brother's car got broken into about four times...they never caught anyone but my brother thinks it was one of his "friends"...how nice eh??? I hope that they do catch someone, Cindy!! Best of luck!!

PS are you still cleaning up finger print dust?? Did they get any finger prints when they dusted any how???

Brian thinks it was someone that lives back behind us, I think it was someone that knows him and knew it was a possibility that he might have cash in the house (He usually does). You can tell they snooped but didnt take anything.
I think I have all of the dust up now....no I dont think they got any prints and I think the only reason they "dusted" for prints was because he had a deputy in training with him. So basically it was for show.
