Sounds like a pretty straight forward scam to me; but I have heard of many people getting scammed by things that looked/sounded obvious to me :purplex:

Some people.. I swear... I dont care how good the deal SOUNDS.. or how desperate you are... if you are really stupid enough to wire some random person 550 bucks.. you deserve whatever comes to you...

They had a report on this on FOX news this morning, same type of thing in the Seattle area.

Apparently, the newscaster also contacted the person "renting" the apartment/house whatever and they have gotten 150 phone calls from nigeria since yesterday.... (At least that's what they said on the news, I don't get that part.)
