Ok, the fiance and I have basically no money (I'm finishing a master's and haven't had a job in a while, and he doesn't have a heck of a lot). I really wanted to go to the cancun area (we are interested in chichen itza) and also really wanted to do an all-inclusive resort deal. anybody have any ideas for honeymoon's at all inclusive for under 2000? or cheap, sunny, relaxed honeymoons for less?

You could probably get a nice cruise for about $2k.

I agree when we looking at honeymoon places, we found some cheap cruises. My brother went to mexico all inclusive for $1700 this included plane tickets. But this was five years ago, so I'm not sure you could find that kind of a deal again, but maybe. He suggested to go check with your local travel agent and they can help you find a good deal.

Where do you live? If you want to save money, maybe you could go somewhere cheaper, than go to cancun when you have more money.. =D (this is why we are going someplace drive-able.. But i don't think we will be able to afford a honeymoon in a year LOL)

I second that idea. My FH and I want to go to Hawaii, but there's no way to afford it (both money and time-wise) this time around. We're hitting San Diego instead and plan to drive instead of fly, which will save a bunch right then and there. There are a ton of beach destinations that could easily be drivable depending on where you live. For us it's a little over 1,000 miles, but since we both love to drive it's not a big chore. Besides...you get to see a lot of scenery along the way. :)

Yup.. thats right.. try to go to places that might suit your budget right now and later on, when you have money, you might make a trip to cancun.. good luck

I agree with the other girls who suggest waiting. We're planning a family honeymoon with my daughter to Fiji for our anniversary next year. But FH and I are going to King's Island for 2 days after the wedding to just be together and away from everything. It's very close but a good time. I don't know much about planning big trips like you're looking for but you may be able to find one through AAA or another place for a good deal. Just really do your research and make sure you don't get stuck with major blackout dates or fees for silly things.:goodluck:

We may just take a weekend trip to Austin for the night. It's only about an hour away and there's lots of fun things to do. :)

If you just google Cancun all-inclusive honeymoon deals, they have plenty for under 2,000. Thats what we are most likely doing. There are some good ones for 1,700 with plane and food...hotel, everything.

GOOGLE: Cancun All-inclusive honeymoon

Now have fun!

I've been racking my brain lately too about this one. Me and FH can't afford a "honymoon" right now.. especially seeing how our 7 month old son takes most of our finances as it is! lol

So, i'm looking for a nice 3-4 day getaway that's not too far, but will allow for some "us" time before jumping back into Mommy and Daddy mode! :grinhappy:

Try www.applevacations.com (http://www.applevacations.com)

They have these things called apple square deals. You don't know exactly which hotel your staying at until you get to the airport, you only know that your hotel will be 5 stars or apples if you choose the 5apple square deal. They also have a 4 apple square deal which means your hotel will be no less than 4 stars. They all all inclusive and include airfare. We went to Cancun and stayed at a brand new fabulous hotel for $612pp. Good Luck!!!!

Yeah it is a ruin in Mexico. It is a short drive from Cancun. It has this really cool cenote which is a sink hole filled with water. It was really neat.

Check it out.
