View Full Version : My new best friend in the kitchen.
This is probably so silly to some of you, but this has been a priceless find for me. Check these pot holders out at Bed, Bath, & Beyond.

Sure, they're nice pot holders, but the silicon strips that run across them really make them perfect weak woman jar openers. I haven't had to ask Chad to open one jar for me and that's just unheard of!

Coolio; I need some new (nicer) pot holders :)
I got one of those plastic/silicone jar opener things, but sometimes I still have to get DH to open jars for me :p

Ha! I need those desperately. I have a little opener helper thing, but I still have to get FH to help me a lot of times. Of course, he totally makes fun of me when it takes him .25 seconds to open it.

And they are cute, too!! My birthday is soon, I might ask for some of those.
Yeah, they work so much better than any type of specialty jar opener thing I've ever had. And they are attractive little guys. We got bright yellow and red as those are our kitchen colors and they look so nice.
I was all excited when I opened up the salsa jar today. Next I'm going to master the pickle jar! Then maybe I'll try my hand at the mayo. There's no stopping me now.

Ooooh, I love them!!! They're really cute! We registered for some similar ones at Target. I wannem now! :bblol:
And, don't worry about sounding silly. Believe me, I know all about having best friends in the kitchen! When I got my Kitchen Aid mixer, I was totally in love.
I love it so much (and tell everyone all the time that I love it so much) that FH uses it as leverage. I stole something from him and hid it...and he jokingly threatened my mixer with a hammer. And he'll tell me if I don't do things for him that he'll take it away from me. LOL!

Those are great. Chris doesn't want the sillicon stuff I don't think. I like how they feel. I have a hard time getting off lids too, I usually just tap it along the counter and it comes off then.
