Ok, I have a very loooong history of getting horrible lip gloss. I never EVER wear lipstick, but I like something on there, ya know? I normally just wear some kids chapstick that's a little glossy and tastes like oranges. LOL

But I'm 32 and I want some grown-up lipgloss, dang it! :bblol: I've tried to buy some many times and always get something sticky or greasy or slobber-looking-shiney or bad-tasting. I can't find one that's just right!

I like shiny, but not enough to make me look like I've just downed a bottle of Crisco. I don't want colored, unless it's a very faint tint. I don't mind flavored, as long as it doesn't taste like poo. :puppy: And, the worst thing EVER is when it makes my lips sticky. I can't stand that....and neither can Jeremy...he won't let me kiss him with sticky gloss on.

So tell me, knowers of all things knowable....what kind of lip gloss do you love?

Thank you!

I'm a lip gloss FIEND, and my new favorite is actually Burt's Bees Shiny Lip Gloss. It's very lightweight and not at ALL sticky, and has the moisturizers that their balm has.

It's VERY sheer, in fact I went with the darkest color they have (a deep red) and it just looks like healthy colored lips. It's shiny, but not MEGA glossy, and not sparkly.

I also like Neutrogena Soothing Lipsheers - it's a twist up tube like lipstick, but feels/looks more like a shiny tinted lip balm. I think I have at least 5 of these. :bblol: (and it's got sunscreen in it!)

Also, L'Oreal has a lipstick that's sheer and glossy (very light, and nonsticky)... I can't think of the name of it a the moment, but it's in a silver tube.

I SO know what you mean about the sticky feeling, THANK YOU! Every time i try to explain that to ladies they look at me like i have 3 freekin heads or something...

moving along, i have found NYX, not alot of color, and I just love it, the only down fall is it doesnt stay on for a long time, but it makes your lips smooth.

I also have some clear Almay stuff that is pretty good, but I bought it a few years ago (don't wear it much) and the name has worn off

I got off my lazy butt just to go look at what kind of lip gloss I've been wearing, little lady! :bblol:

I bought this the day of the wedding because I loved it so much. It's Aveda Kamara Fruit. Just a touch of peachy/pinky color and with a lovely tingly sensation. I don't think it's sticky and I can be kinda picky about that. Several of my girls actually ended up buying it as well because they loved the way that it looked!

I love the kind that Bath and Body Works sells in the little tubes. I have spearmint and lemon flavored kind and they rock.

I use Victoria's Secret Very Voluptuous Lip Plumper. It's glossy, not sticky, smells great, doesn't have a funky taste and has a little tingly sensation. I can't say it plumps lips noticeably, but it's my favorite gloss! I haven't tried the Extreme version of it, I stick with the cheaper one.

I have been using Cover Girls WetSlicks Fruit Spritzers and I have also been using Avons lip metallics Lip Gloss. I really have been pleased with the cover girl stuff and they have like five or six diffrent colors. At wall mart it is like around 3 or 4 dollars.

if your looking to spend a little extra but get somehting that will DEFINATY have a gorgeous look go try the MAC lipglosses.. They are awesome. I prefer one with a nude tone instead of the clear but they stay on SOOOO long and feel nice..

If you feel like a serious splurge, look at Chanel Glossimers. O-M-G they are amazing. The texture is gel-like and not sticky in the least, yet they stay on a long time. Plus they come in some great shades.

I use Mary Kay lipgloss . I have about a dozen bottles between those at home and in my purse. The ones that i use are the sheer or with little color. I know it is hard to find something you like and not spend a lot to find it.

if you're looking for something that isn't going to be sticky than your best bet is a lip balm because the glosses tend to be sticky in order to last longer over a lipstick. i love the bath and body works "my favorite lip balm" it looks very shiny when on your lips and keeps them smooth and they have different minty flavors or some pink tints. also the victoria's secret beauty rush smoothing lip balm makes your lips look awesome and isnt sticky at all !!
